"Tom and his wife did a great job which included removal of a tree and a large bush. They were able to quickly get a permit, schedule a pre-pour inspection, and get the job done. Our patio looks beautiful. Even the inspector said it turned out very nice. Tom always kept us informed and let us know time of arrival or if running late. They cleaned up the area very nicely when they were finished. Would highly recommend Tom's Concrete."

"The quality of work was acceptable in that the pavers look good. But there was no particular emphasis on quality control. Several weeks later we are still trying to get our pool to recover from all of the dirt, sand and grunge sprayed into the pool. While the Paver Protetor's agreement specifically rejects liability for damage to landscape, there was virtually no effort to mitigate or limit the damage to landscaping outside of the lanai screen. As a result we have lost considerable landscaping. Finally, the caustic material was cleaned in our yard causing loss of considerable grass that had to be replaced. Paver Protectors needs to let potential customers know exactly what precautions it will take to mitigate damage and what steps the owner may take to mitigate damage. It is truly a question of full disclosure."

"Positive reviews often highlight the best parts of a business, but they don’t tell the full story. The real test of a company is how they respond when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, when things went wrong with Tropical Paver Sealing, they didn’t rise to the occasion. I hired Tropical Paver Sealing, for a paver sealing job that included pressure washing my pool deck. During the service, the technician, Bowen, got distracted and ended up stripping the paint from the base of my pool enclosure, leaving it exposed to rust. Amanda, the owner, came out to inspect the damage, took videos, and promised to get back to me that afternoon with a solution. That follow-up never happened, despite me reaching out several times. To add to the frustration, I later found that my pool deck drains were filled with silicon sand used during the sealing process. The drains hadn’t been covered, so the sand just clogged them up. Once again, I reached out to Amanda, but my concerns were ignored. It's easy to get great reviews when everything goes smoothly, but when things go wrong, that’s when a business shows its true colors. Unfortunately, Tropical Paver Sealing didn’t handle the situation well at all, and Amanda was completely unresponsive. Based on this experience, I can’t recommend them. What could’ve been a simple fix turned into silence and neglect."

"Pool and Deck Concepts has developed a one stop shop design and construction model that makes a project of this magnitude so smooth and easy to complete. They start by meeting with you and listening to your vision for the project, making recommendations in response to your vision. They work within your budget and make recomendations on where best to spend your budget dollars. Before we signed our contract with them they were very up front about possible delays due to materials shortages and labor issues with the spike in demand for back yard pool and deck rennovations and additions. What more could you ask for? They could have just told us what we wanted to hear to get us to sign a contract and then make excuses later to satiate our complaints. They did not. They risked losing a contract in being so honesta and it played out just as they had described so it was no big deal. So nice, when things happen exactly as described in advance. They are skilled at design, working within your budget and taking you through project completion. A few have commented negatively on the use of subcontracts. I think these remarks are misplaced. When a company has all employee labor they are more likely to defend defective work and shortcomings. Using subcontractors allows the GC to oversee all the work and insist that any mistakes or ommisions are corrected accordingly. It's actually a superior system for the customer. We couldn't be happier with our pool and deck area. The end product well exceeded our expectations and at what we feel was a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Pool and Deck Concepts without reservation."
