"We have an older house (built ~1930) with largely original wiring and lathe and plaster walls. In other words a challenge when doing electrical or plumbing work. VMA Electric bid the job out carefully and coped with calm and competence with the inevitable difficulties (some incompatibilities between the main panel breaker and the charger's GFI, routing wire between the ground floor fireplace and the chimney on the roof, solution=an elegant wireless Lutron switch). Both the field and the office teams were efficient and pleasant. I would use them in the future without question. They were competent at every level. And while not the cheapest bid on all work, with an old house I have found it saves in the long run to go with an experienced firm."

"If you know what you want done, they will do it professionally. The office is courteous, they show up as promised, and they are direct and forthright.  When they make mistakes (a few years ago there was air in the oil line after they serviced the oil burner) they come back immediately and fix it without charge.
 On the last visit, they cleaned the A/C and checked it out.  They also, at my request, insulated the refrigerant pipe between the unit and the house and charged me for parts, but not for extra labor, etc. It was done neatly and correctly and I was pleased.
I also had them install a new heating system and central air several years ago, with zoning.  It was a retrofit.
While they worked professionally, there were several things I was not pleased about.  They oversized the A/C, never taking the information I supplied and the zoning into account. The zoning flaps "leaked"  (they repaired some of the problems under warranty, without a hassle and no longer use that supplier), and they insulated without sealing the ducts (my fault for assuming that based on their literature that sealing the ducts was part of insulating them?)
