"A chose Triton based upon their superior ratings on Angie's List and now I know why they have been so highly rated. This company is owned and managed by a gentleman who has impeccable honesty and expertise. He scheduled my service call within 3 days and arrived on time. He immediately determined the problem thereby not charging me for any unnecessary diagnostic fees. He was able to get the warranty to cover a replacement and only charged a fair and reasonable fee for the installation. I can assure you there are many companies who would have just charged me for a new controller. He checked the entire system and rearranged the watering rotation. He set the system to completely comply with water restrictions and was professional and totally knowledgeable. I would recommend Triton to anyone in SWFL who needs any services for irrigation systems. All I can say is that a company doesn't get on Angie's Super list unless they deserve it. I highly recommend Triton Irrigation Systems."

"I have always done all of things around my house (not any more).  John was very professional, did a GREAT job and charged an extremely fair price.  From the time he came for the estimate to the moment that he finished for the day, because he has pride in his work, he and his helper made me feel comfortable that they would complete the job as though it was their home.
My wife and I are selling our home and wanted to give our 4 bedroom colonial (9 rooms plus 3 baths plus 2-story foyer and basement) a fresh coat of paint.  Prepared to do it myself, my wife asked me to first check Angie's List for any specials.  I found a deal from John for 2 painters for 4 hours at a great price.   I made an appointment for John to come for an estimate and, since he gave me a great 8 hour price, I agreed for him to come for a whole day.  He contacted me before the scheduled date, to confirm the date and to remind me of my prep and paint responsibilities (which was a big help because I would have probably forgotten).
I figured that I would try him for a day, to make my wife happy, then I would just go ahead and finish the house myself.  What a mistake!  I should have booked him for the week!  At the end of the day, he completed more than what was agreed to, left the rooms exactly as he found them (great cleanup) and when I asked him for more days, he was booked for the near future, but will try to fit me in when he has a cancellation.
Bottom line, I would highly recommend John Chinnici Painting/Plus.  (Please do not book him until he finishes my house).

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in Bonita Springs, FL

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
