"Everything went very well.  The excavator was dropped off on the weekend to be available on the day of the project. Initially, Eric said that he thought he would to the work but he had Marcos do it instead.
The team took a lot of care not to drive the excavator on the asphalt to avoid damaging the road.
Marcos started by removing the trees.  Yanking fairly large alders out of the ground was entertaining to watch.  One larger one was right at the capacity of the machine but he took his time and worked it down.  Alder is tricky because, being very soft wood, it can break and sheer off with some danger to the operator.
The trees took the majority of the time on the project because Marcos was very methodical and didn't rush things.  The slash pile he created was very dense and well structured to not occupy more area than necessary. It took me three weeks to cut, split, and stack the wood and I appreciated doing minimal chainsaw work down in the dirt.
After the trees were removed he graded the land and then used the head of the excavator to form a very smooth gradient.  I am impressed by how smooth and well contoured the yard is now.

"Nature's Caretakers are the best.  They have specialist in all aspects of lawn maintenance.  Brian specializes in lawn and soil.  He knows about all the different grasses and soil nutrients important to a beautiful lawn.  Matt specializes in vegetation - his expertise is any plants, shrubs, etc and Austin specializes in lawn care, sprinklers and related equipment.  However, any of these three bosses are knowledgeable about all aspects of the services provided from their company. I am very impressed with their customer service and the personalized care provided to me.  All three of them came out last week to see how things were going, answer any questions and see how their employees were doing the job.  They stop by job sites regularly to check on workers and to talk with me to ensure a quality job is being performed. I am very impressed with  the care they provide me, the customer, as well as their support and caring for their staff.   A little expensive but competitive with other companies.  I have a large yard and it is very well worth it!

"NW Patio Design replaced a 40 foot by 4 foot stone retaining wall that was falling into my neighbor's yard. I have to say, they did a GREAT job, not only on the physical construction of the wall ( which looks like it will still be standing in 300 years ) but also on how well they answered my questions, kept in contact, and overall were informative and respectful of all my requests and my schedule. They have a website where they mention the importance of these kinds of things, and they actually stand by it. Esteban did most of the labor on the wall himself and didn't cut any corners - really fantastic work. Ray was there to answer all my overall project questions and stop me freaking out, and Steve gave me the original quote and kept me well informed too. I can be pretty OCD about this kind of thing, and Its a good feeling when you find a company that takes care of your problem like it was in their own back yard, and just removes all the anxiety of getting something fixed on your house.
