Any kind of repairs that you want done I can do. I am a jack of all trades and a little bit or a lot about a lot of things. I've worked as apartment maintenance overseeing 420 Apartments, and if it is something I cannot do I will let you know. But I guarantee quality work without the outrageous cost of most companies. I'm just a person that likes to fix things and make them look as good or better than they did before broken. That includes carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, AC repairs, even Appliance repairs. Something as small as hanging a TV bracket to as big as repairing Roofing or water leaks or water damage. Just give me a try I promise you won't be disappointed. I offer Senior Citizens and Veterans a 20% discount, and free estimates over the phone. \n\n "Jack of all trades, master of none, though oftentimes better than master of one"

"We called Mr Appliance in June to help with a smell in our dishwasher. At that time the tech told us he found what he thought was the source and remedied it. He also informed us that if the smell comes back within a year it would be covered under warranty. Fast forward 3 months later, the smell is back. When we called to ask about a followup visit they proceeded to say it was not covered under warranty and charged us another $140 to come out for diagnostics... okay, cheaper than a new dishwasher, please come out. On scene the new tech tells us he cannot find anything wrong. Proceeds to tell my wife to clean it more often then charges us another $50 for customer consult. $190 later we're in the same spot + a HUGE scratch on our hardwood floors. Would not recommend. I am in the process of following up for refund of the $50. 😡"

FAQs for steam shower installation projects in Boone, NC

A steam shower is a regular shower stall outfitted with a steam generator. Push a button, and the generator heats water to create soothing steam, and you’ve got an instant spa at about 110°F. Because it doubles as a standard shower, you don’t need extra square footage—just the right plumbing, a sealed enclosure, and proper ventilation.

Expect to spend roughly $0.50 to $1 on water and electricity for a 20- to 30-minute steam session. Actual costs depend on your local utility rates, but most homeowners find that the increase on their monthly bill is modest, even with regular use. To keep ongoing costs down, look for an energy-efficient generator and ensure your shower is properly sealed to prevent heat loss.

Flush the generator regularly to remove mineral buildup and maintain a steady steam flow. Most models have a drain valve or button—hit it after each session or as the manufacturer recommends. Skipping this essential maintenance step can trigger safety shut-offs or shorten the lifespan of your steam shower.

It’s not uncommon for homeowners to discover mold in their steam showers. Steam equals humidity, and humidity invites mold. Run the bathroom fan during and after each session, crack the door to allow air circulation, and wipe down the walls frequently. If you spot mold, spray undiluted white vinegar, wait an hour, then scrub—it’s an easy, chemical-free fix.
