"Shawn & Gianna did great work on my drywall repair & painting project. They also never treated me like my small, half-day job was of less importance than any others they have going on. If I need similar services in the future, I would definitely hire them again!"

"D&C NW, led by Doug, is top-notch. He rebuilt my rental after an attic pipe burst destroyed half the home before I could sell. His crew handled everything, rebuilding my old house like new. Doug is personable, trustworthy, and understands landlords’ budgets. I relied on him for another rental, where his team quickly repaired damages and painted between tenants. I also trust him with my MCM personal residence that had a gutted daylight basement—no ceiling, hollow walls when we moved in. Doug rebuilt 2,000 sq. ft., carefully removing and restoring the wood paneling and renovated the layout, including a new bathroom, He pointed out areas likely to present hidden issues before opening them up, without leading to an astronomically higher bill when work was required. He let me watch and learn when I was curious, and I always felt included in the process. His efficiency and work is exceptional. No job is too big or small. I highly recommend Doug! For landlords—he’s the best on speed dial!"

"We hired Andrew and his team to install some safety features in our home: grab bars, railings, some dry wall repair. The quality of work was excellent. Andrew and Josiah kept us informed throughout the project. Both men were easy to work with and did a wonderful job of cleaning up as they went along.. We have already hired them for a kitchen project in our home!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
