"Tony was a very honest, no-sleak salesman pitch kind of guy (which works in his favor). He tells you what things cost, why he recommends the specific brand of awning, motor, material, and what accessories he recommends or doesn't recommend. Basically for someone who has never bought an awning before, he's doing the work for you. On top of that, since he doesn't send out all those weekly flyers of awnings (like Sunsetter), his overhead is much lower. I had a buddy price out a similar awning using a Sunsetter brand awning and whether it was the price of the awning or maybe it was the installer, regardless, their total came out to nearly TWICE that of Tony's. But given the awning itself is built (based on 3rd party reviews) BETTER than Sunsetters, I went with American Awnings. Turns out (I'm sure he doesn't want me to share this) broke his foot the Friday before my following week installation. I was certain he was going to cancel/reschedule, but he arrived on time, had perhaps an extra worker with him, but got the job done in under the time he suggested it would take. After it was installed, he went over the warranties, how to use the awning and care for it. This guy knows his awnings. If you live anywhere in the south central PA area, or i'm sure even a little outside of that area, give him a call. You will get friendly, non-pushy customer service. You will get upfront honest pricing (which I later found out was much lower than some competition), and finally the quality of the product is some of the best in the awning world. Tony said it would take 1 month from the word 'Go' to order the materials and complete installation. And he was exact on that. I have a brand new awning that I love one month since contacting Tony. And I found Tony from Home Advisor myself, so looking at reviews, it looks like I am not the only very satisfied customer. Go Tony!"

"The service went extremely well. The price was not the cheapest, but I think it was the best value for the money. I have been tremendously pleased with the service. We had a problem with the screen door on the sliding glass door that I had done. They came out until it was fixed. They eventually had to replace the screen door."

I had used this company years ago under a different name and had excellent service and products (windows & doors).  Although the name has changed, it is still owned by original family members.  We visited their show room and selected patio doors and agreed on a price.  The order and processing process was managed very well.  Installation was scheduled and two workmen arrived on time and did a very good job.  They even repaired some termite damage in the framing prior to installing the doors.  Installation was very well done and the area was cleaned and left without problems.

After installation, I noticed that there was a rattle when the door was closed and could be heard if the glass was knocked upon.  The workmen indicated it was a result of the style of door which had trim outside the two panels of door glass.  I reported this to the company who scheduled a visit with a door manufacturer rep and a senior company rep.  They indicated the rattle was a result of the style of door.  The options were to accept the current door or replace it with a different style which we selected.  The company ordered the new door, scheduled and installed the new door.  They also credited my account for the lesser of the amount between the two doors.  We are very pleased with the new door and energy savings from the upgraded doors.

"Fidel is fantastic. He was able to match paint colors, suggested & used the right products to prevent the problem (mold from steamy bathrooms) and did a beautiful paint job. Treated, cleaned, painted in 2 days with 2 assistants. We ran into an unforseen obstacle, my bathroom fans were not hooked to vents. He gave me guidance on purchasing fans & brought his electrician in for correct installation. Because of an issue in my ceiling, we cannot vent through the walls as planned. He was going to use HVAC suggestions to vent through the roof, but he stopped & called some experts who told him that I could suffer leaks if I don't use a skilled roofer. We will have a roofer do the vents. Fidel only charged me for the work done. He'll come back to install fans after that."

"My first time using Angie's List proved to be well worth it! I saw a deal for replacement windows through American Jewel Window Systems for a pretty good price, 5 windows for $1499. I ordered them and met with Chuck who came to my home to take the initial measurements. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable! He showed me the options and gave me the estimate. The deal did not include the screens, which cost at an additional $10 each. The following week, the installer came by to take more measurements. Two weeks later, the company called me for an install date. 
The two installers came and were absolutely perfect. They brought in all the supplies, removed the old windows, took caution and placed cloth tarp, installed the new windows, sealed them properly, and cleaned up after themselves. I was amazed at how fast and quietly they worked. What a difference in warmth replacing a few windows can do. The rooms where the windows were replaced were always very cold. Chuck had told me I would see a huge difference when getting rid of my old aluminum ones for brand new vinyl ones. We were so pleased with the initial 5 windows, that we contacted them again and replaced an additional 11 windows in our home. 
I am extremely happy and satisfied with this decision. My house is warmer and I felt that I received a really great deal!
Will happily use them again!

"Everything was done very well; removal of old sunroom materials, installation of new wall and roof over additional roof area. All wood work was very well done, installation of new glass and new structural roof! All done well. Exception was the new roof! Here the interfacing of new roof with existing roof was not done well. All the construction was completed at end - literally in last week of 2015; all seemed well for first winter of 2016, then in spring of 2016 the roof began leaking at or near the interface of new with the existing roof. I called Mr. Bart Scesney, the Senior Design Consultant , overseeing the project and reported the leak. He promised a fix. Then through the summer of 2016 the leak seemed to resolve itself but with return of winter the roof leaked through the winter of 2016 -2017. I called Mr. Scesney again and again received a promise of a repair; nothing happened. Again in winter of 2017-2018 leaks occurred, again I called with the same null response. Finally in the fall of 2018 I sent an email to Mr. Scesney with a copy to the President of TRS, Mr. Joe Henley. Again a promise of a repair but no response. Thus, this complaint to Angie's list and the same to the Better Business Bureau. Next will be a formal legal proceeding to sue the company for the cost of an urgent repair. Really hate to take this action because all other aspects of the work was so well done. But I must stop the leak; I have a cathedral ceiling and as a result a leak comes directly into my home."
