"This is the 3rd time my daughter or I have used Cara painting and we could not be happier. Jimmy is fantastic - meticulous in his prep, painting, and clean-up. We had the exterior of our house painted and the work included pressure washing, sealant, caulking, and painting (two coats). Everything came out great and we are very happy. Five stars all around!"

"We are thrilled with all the work Mikalai has done for us. From start to finish our experience has been extraordinary. He is professional, punctual, and can do everything! His work is detailed and meticulous with no shortcuts. We have had him back twice and our home looks brand new. He is an artist. He is the BEST! I wouldn’t trust anyone else. "Moving is not a fun thing to do. It’s draining and emotional and just overall sucks. What makes it better? When two talented girls can turn a dreary grey painted space into a lush green oasis in one day! They came the same day we moved so we didn’t have to rearrange furniture again and they crushed the job in no time. My space was so bland and the paints didn’t even match. They filled all the holes and patched spots for us as well because we just didn’t have time! No one will do a better job for you with such precision and care as Alanis Painting! No one!!!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Brandon, FL

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
