"The technician arrived on time for the appointment.  He was professional and courteous, and appeared to be very knowledgeable.  He serviced my gas furnace.  It is in the attic so I didn't watch him, but he was up there for quite a while.  I purchased an annual contract from this company, and included the cost of new filters, since I don't want to go up in the attic myself to change the filter.  The technician did not have the needed filter with him, as it is a special order filter, and this is the first time I used the company.  He noted the filter information on the contract, and says they will have it next time.  He ordered a filter for me, and someone came out the next week to install it for me at no additional service charge.  I am satisfied with this company, and with the terms of the service contract I purchased.  They are a little bit higher priced than my previous company, but the previous company had lousy customer service, and usually didn't have the correct filter with them even though they installed the furnace.  Also, the technician from Mike's seems to know what he is doing.  I didn't have that confidence with my previous company.  The contract includes two maintenance service calls a year.  If my experience in the spring is as good as this fall, I will be staying with this company for HVAC needs.

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"One oven doesn't work at all ( my choice, see above), the "working" oven was never calibrated properly so using it is hit or miss. It's time to call American Home Shield to see about replacing the entire unit. I'm waiting to finish other home projects before calling them. I don't know if I'll request Greenway again."
