"We contracted Sampson Plumbing and Heating for a new boiler and water heater, and repair of a slow (drip-like) leak in the kitchen sink plumbing. First, let us note that the quality of the work is first-rate. One- anyone, for that matter- could see immediately the workmanship: copper tubing at right angles, copper tubing running perfectly straight along the walls, neat and spotless clean. Second, and this is equally important, the workers (Chris, Brian, Rich and Mark) were exceedingly polite. Some of you might have had an experience as we have had in which we hired a tradesman, whereupon he acted as if he was doing us the favour or all favours by coming to our house. Such was not the case with Sampson P&E. Their workers were as gracious for choosing them, their company, as we were for the work they did. Lastly, a compliment must be directed to the receptionist/secretary who receives their calls. She is as pleasant as a spring morning and immediately creates a good impression of the company. "Brian had a couple of other jobs but was able to make it to my house in the evening. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the tub faucet and swapped out the cartridge, which had frozen and cracked. Pretty straightforward and Brian was able to resolve it quickly. The sink faucet had similar problem but was more problematic. Brian had to disconnect a lot of the plumbing to extract the cold water tap and extract the cartridge. Was a bit of struggle since it was screwed on very tight. But he was able to finally remove and replace the cartridge, and then reconnect everything. He also noticed that the water in the toilet was frozen and that the flapper was about to go, so he swapped that out quickly. All together, it was a couple of hours of work, but he was able to resolve everything, which was a big relief."
