"1) My kitchen faucet & sink food disposal needed replacing. I purchased both from Home Depot & phoned Home Advisory for plumbing service to install. Home Advisory gave me Brian's phone. I called and left a message. 2) Brian Nisbet responded to my voicemail within minutes saying he was on a job in my city of Stamford CT & would call me as soon as he finished to look at my job. As soon as he called we removed all the bottles & clutter in the cabinet beneath the sink. 3) When Brian arrived the new faucet & food disposal still in the sealed boxes were sitting there in front of the vacant cabinet. 4) He quoted a very reasonable fee, we agreed, and immediately crawled partially under the sink and began the installations, and carefully tested for leaks of which there were none. 5) Amazingly we had both installations completed within hours from the beginning of purchasing the product & completion. 6) CAUTION: If you're purchasing the popular Badger disposal make sure that you copy the s/n number BEFORE the installation because it's located in the back of the disposal, and you'll need the s/n number for the warranty. I had to empty the cabinet all over again & crawl under there with a flashlight just to copy the s/n (serial number. The manufacturer should place it in the front."

"Steven was the absolute best… arrived at the very start of only a two hour window, fixed the problem in about an hour. Very polite and courteous. I called three plumbers and he was the first to call me back and the only one who would give me a ballpark figure over the phone. The others wanted to come out and have a look for $70. even though I accurately described the job in detail. I’m thrilled to have a reliable plumber! A more than satisfied customer, Lora Harrigan"

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Bridgeport, CT

A minor, easily accessible leak can be resolved in about three hours, while a large or hard-to-reach leak may take up to three days. If flooring or cabinets need to be built back, the timeline can run several weeks to cover material deliveries and installation. Every job begins with detection, proceeds to repair, and concludes with restoring your foundation’s strength.

Slab leaks are most common in areas where the ground is in motion, such as those prone to earthquakes or highly expansive soils. In places like California, constant shifting puts stress on foundations and pipes. Stay ahead of trouble by monitoring your water bill, inspecting visible slab edges, and scheduling routine inspections to catch leaks early and maintain your home's safety.

Keep an eye out for damp spots, rising water bills, the sound of running water when taps are off, or staining and sagging along the foundation. Check exposed slab edges during routine walk-arounds and note any uptick in indoor humidity or pest traffic. The moment something looks off, call a pro—fast action protects your slab and wallet.

Most policies cover slab-leak repairs tied to a covered event, such as earthquakes, severe storms, or a fallen tree. They often won’t cover gradual issues, such as root intrusion or corrosion-related pinhole leaks. Every policy is different, so be sure to contact your carrier for the fine print before any problems arise.
