"rep-TILE did a great job installing tile in our kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. The new tile looks beautiful! The job was much larger than originally anticipated but they adjusted their schedule to get all of the work done well in advance of Thanksgiving which we appreciated greatly. The price was very fair, they were easy to contact and work with and we would definitely use them again."

"They measured to find the least amount of carpet to order.  I was concerned about seaming.  They assured me not to worry.  When th ey completed the job I did notice some seems so the redid the seeming to make sure it looked perfect, which it does now.  Also had a stain on another carpet in the housel.  They cut it out out, and patched with spare carpeting that I had.  Looks good as new.  Planning on using them again, for my upstairs in the future"

"When they came to give us an estimate they said t would cost $600 which we thought was ridiculous, so we were able to get them down to $200 plus tax. They said for that price we could get a surface shampooing. They took the rug, brought it back a week later and it doesnt look that much cleaner. From other reviews I read I thought I would be wow'd. Maybe if we paid more they would have done a better job?

"I wasn't too satisfied with them. They pulled up all the carpets in the house; bedroom, hallways, stairs, living room and dining room. The guy was complaining as soon he came in, but he was okay. We also helped along the way."

"I looked over over Anglie's List reviews and saw their reviews were good. George, one of the owners came to the condo that was being remodeled and basically he informed me I could have any kind of backslash I wanted! We used Home Depot and Lowes websites to look at available ceramic tiles. He had countless before and after photos on his phone and the tile I picked out for the backslash was well under the allowance 3J allowed for materials. He said he had stopped using commercial tile stores and would prefer that his customers used the Cherry Hill or any Home Depot as a tile showroom and to pick out selections. I decided to get a price from him on other tile work in the condo's bathroom. The bathroom had a brand new Rebath tub/shower area install that covered 1970ies small yellow tiles. Although I did the Rebath installation because I did not want to go through the bother noise (next door neighbor senior who complained about any condo rehab noise), dust and expensive of a new tub/shower area, the price for Rebath to CONTINUE their acrylic covering for the rest of the bathroom was outrageous ($3000) and that price did not include a new final roll floor over the existing title floor ($1,500). I only wanted the acrylic in the bath and 3 J ceramic tile is much nicer looking then sheets of plastic from bath fitter and the PRICE was so much lower for real ceramic tile!_x000D_|I contracted with 3 J for $1,500.00 ($750 down and $750 on compilation ) to removal the old ceramic tiles on wall and floor. They leveled the floor, and patched up a VERY large opening from old medicine chest. They agreed to have work done before the end of August. I shopped my local home depot and selected my tile choices to 3J office (Stephanie) who was great. Although the ceramic bathroom floor walls and kitchen backslash are in and great, the only problem I ran into was that the day 3J was suppose to come to start demolition was pushed to the next day with out much notice (that morning!) I know they are a Cherry Hill NJ outfit, I heard that because of the Anglie's List coupon they were in center city, all over NJ and where I lived in lower Bucks county. I think when they did the install for me they were doing several other Angie's List instal. On the day of the actual insulation, I was surprised when I was informed they were ready for demolition but George wanted me to go to Home Depot with him to pick out tiles. He said he saw what I emailed to his office but wanted to make sure we were on the same page. I was at first disappointed because I already went to the store several times. however, going to the Home Depot with George turned out to be A GREAT IDEA AND MADE FOR A GREAT LOOKING BATHROOM! At the store, George saw what I wanted to use and suggested different tiles which were actual much more expensive and more attractive then what I picked with out him and there was going to be NO additional cost increase for better materials.  The actual contractors that did the demolition and instal were great. One of the contractors was the lead and seemed to be training his co worker in ceramic tile work. I could hear the training or instructions between the two and proved to me out careful they were to make the kitchen and bathroom look great. He asked me to check all his work for any mistakes and explained no matter how hard one looks at tile you can't always see mistakes because you are doing so much hand measuring and cuts. I found a few flaws that were fixed on the spot.  It is now six months since I had the work done. It look wonderful. I found one or two minor flaws that I know would of been addressed on the spot if noticed, but they are so minor it's not a real concern to me (kitchen wall was not 100% even and one or two tiles are not even with the rest and can only be seen in certain light. I would certainly use 3J again and now like the idea of shopping with the owner for choices. Although I was out of their general area and they were not use to my neighborhood, I understand the original start times delays and part of the delay was caused by me wanting work done before the end of August and George pushing my job in their busy schedule and getting the work done in my time line. Thank you 3 J's for a great price and great work!"

FAQs for carpet repair, refasten, or stretch projects in Brigantine, NJ

Removing a rug costs around $0.40 to $0.50 per square foot. This includes the fee for a contractor to roll up the rug and haul it away in a vehicle for disposal or recycling. If they need to move furniture, they might charge an additional $0.25 to $0.30 per square foot of furniture.

If your carpet has minor damage—like a single area that requires stretching, patching, or cleaning—it might be less expensive to pay for carpet repair than remove and replace it. Repairing carpet costs around $210 per project.

The cost of carpet cleaning is about $190 for a three-bedroom home, so it’s a good idea to have your carpet cleaned at least once a year. But most carpeting only lasts 10 years. If your carpet is nearing the end of its life span, it might be more cost-effective to remove and replace your carpet than to clean and repair it. The average cost to install a new carpet is about $1,800.

Search our directory of carpet removal companies and services to find an affordable, screened contractor near you. All HomeAdvisor listings are vetted, reviewed, and rated by homeowners, so you can be sure to find a local pro qualified for your project. Get at least three quotes to compare prices and the timeline for your project.

Commercial carpet removal usually costs on the lower end of the carpet removal price range, around $1.10 per square foot or even less. Carpet installation contractors often offer discounted rates for larger projects, like commercial carpet removal and installation. Similarly, you might be able to negotiate a lower residential carpet removal cost if the carpet is pulled up throughout your entire home.

Most cities accept old carpets as bulk trash, but you may need to schedule a special pickup and prepare the carpet properly. Remove any nails or glue residue, cut the carpet into manageable pieces, and roll and secure them. Alternatively, you can take your old carpet to a local recycling center for a small fee, where it can be processed and repurposed.

Yes, you can remove carpet yourself if you're ready for a labor-intensive task. DIY carpet removal requires heavy lifting and tools like utility knives, pliers, and pry bars. The process is generally straightforward but time-consuming for stapled-down carpet. If your carpet is glued down or you're worried about damaging the subfloor, hiring a professional is best to ensure the job is done safely and efficiently.
