His carpenter Pete was excellent both in the care he took to make everything fit together accurately and just being a really cool, nice guy. "I contacted ARK Foundation Repair & Waterproofing as they have a high rating on Angie's List.  He responded promptly to discuss the project then, as his company doesn't work in crawl spaces, referred me to another company, FMC Waterproofing.  FMC Waterproofing did a very good job.  $6550 was well worth the installation price. <br />"

"One screw type pier installed. 2 workers hand dug hole below bottom of foundation. Cleaned out under foundation for platform. Although foundation was deeper than I thought, the hole was done much better and quicker than I envisioned. Pier was screwed at bottom of hole with a hydraulic motor. Once limit on hydraulic pressure was reached, the pier was cut at proper level, platform installed, and cracked section of foundation was raised with a hydraulic jack. Crack in stonework closed up nicely without going too far and creating additional cracks. Workers had 5 and 15 years experience doing this work. Very professional and did a very nice job every step of the way. Note that I (homeowner) chose to move and reinstall landscaping stones and gutter drain. Also, tuckpointing/repairing the cracks was not included in the quote. I plan to do that myself at a later date."
