CARPET MART

"Carpet Mart installed carpet for an insurance claim loss. I want to mention, however, that they really helped us choose the carpet. This is a family run business, with many styles on hand. It's easy to get overwhelmed!!! He showed us a few styles that might work, from the information we told him. It was a good quality Mohawk carpet. The guys installing the carpet and linoleum were very professional and fast. They moved the furniture in the bedroom quickly, installed the carpet, and moved the furniture back again. The owner of the Carpet and Door Mart, Sam, gave us a price on carpeting our other two rooms if we want it. We would go back to them again. Service was excellent, and I've heard the prices are good also. They worked well with our insurance contractor."

"As above, it went well. When we first contacted Mr. Dalton, I told him I wanted a beautiful green carpet that would survive a herd of buffalo's going in and out of our house. That is exactly what he sold us and it is still just as beautiful as when first installed. I'd love to be able to buy the exact same color and kind if this ever wears out and need replacing."

"<p>Initially contacted due to excellent reviews here on Angie's List and they weren't wrong.  I set up an appointment with Ricky who arrived on time and provided an accurate estimate for the install.  We set up an install appointment and his workers were punctual and arrived at the scheduled time and completed the job on time without any issues.  Flooring was installed in a professional manner with quality in mind with hardly any issues with dust.  They even vacuumed before leaving.  The only problem was on my end by not ordering enough quarter round to finish the job.  Once the shipment of quarter round came in, I called Ricky and was impressed when he said they would come back out and install it without charging me anything additional.  I fully espected to be charged for another appointment but he worked me in.  He even made a statement to the effect that customer satisfaction was his primary goal and he meant it!  I would wholeheartedly recommend Brown's Hardwood to anyone who needed flooring services! </p> <br />"

"On the rental property, we picked out the flooring and handed them a key.  They took care of everything, cleaned up, and left in a timely fashion.  It was turn key and I didn't have to do a thing.  They were able to get the job done quickly and had it done just a few days after we picked out the flooring we wanted.  <br /> Replacing the carpet in our house was a three day job, due to the need to move a bunch of our stuff around.  The installers arrived when they said they would every day.  They were very courteous and helpful.  They made every effort to do a good job.  The owner checked with us periodically to make sure everything was going well with the installation and followed up with us after the installation to make sure we were happy with everything.  The carpet we put in our house is simply outstanding and seems to be very high quality. <br /> They have a good selection of flooring.  We are very satisfied with the entire experience. I highly recommend K&M. <br />"

"It was sort of like a door with glass panes in it. They did a really really good job. It was a good experience for me. They were very very good. The install went beautifully. They were very professional and helpful. It looks good. We were well pleased. They've put in doors for me at different times. I liked that they really good job and the door really opened up the house. Plus I have a skylight and it really lights up the hallway."

"We had the carpet & pad.  We had Steve's install both.  We had the carpet and they supplied the pad.  Installation took place about 3 weeks after our call.  Busy crews.  They did a very fine job.  We had to call them back  due to separated seam.  They came right out and corrected the problem.  We also purchased  vinyl flooring and had them install it and they did a very good job.  We are completely satisfied with material purchased and the job performed.  We would use them again."

"A True Clean worked with us to get the carpet cleaning scheduled before the moving truck arrived. On cleaning day they did a walk through and provided us a quote before doing any work. We vacated the house and left them to their business. The guys sent texts and pictures showing progress and any trouble areas. They turned on all the fans and locked up on their way out. Carpets looked great and the customer service was excellent. One note on my review, I graded a B on price ONLY because I did not get any other quotes to compare to. Bottom line is that I am pleased with the service and won't hesitate to use A True Clean again."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Bristol, TN

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
