"All of this took 2-3 days. They showed up early every morning (around 8 AM) and went about their work in a professional manner. The owner stayed late to finish up work on the day they poured the new steps, making sure that all the edges had a nice finish on them and were done "just so" and to his liking. He also showed up on the last day to put a second coat on the resurfacing of the front stoop which now looks brand new as if it had been replaced along with the front steps. I might also add that Mr. Langhorne's estimate was $1,200 lower than that I received from a larger company who, by the way, tried to "upsell" me by asking about replacing the stoop as well, which only really needed to be resurfaced."

"Jose took time to design the type of basement that made my wife happy. He completely took care of the drywall, doors and trim & flooring for us. I was surprised at the amount of things that went along with completing a basement but Jose made it very easy to choose different trims and flooring options. My fence was falling apart due to the horrible rain we received during the summer, part of my back yard was leaning, my backyard door wouldn't open, it was just a mess. Jose and his team completely took down the fence and they dug up new postholes and up my fence went up. The work was done properly with appropriate measurements, I love my new back yard fence, the door, it actually swings open now. My wife is happy and I am impressed by Jose and his attention to detail, great customer focus and quality work."

"Contractor arrived earlier than scheduled and got straight to work.  Unfortunately the problem with the light involved more complex electrical work than I had thought so it was not fixed.  However, he did fix the problem I was having with the faulty lighting in the ceiling fans from my original request - I was using the wrong light-bulbs.  Go figure!

"I would gladly recommend Graves Design and Remodeling for home renovation and remodeling projects. We used them in the summer of 2017 to complete an addition/remodel that included expansion and remodeling of the kitchen/dining room and the addition of a mudroom and garage. Graves was also responsible for the design and helping to pick out the finishes for the kitchen. We relied heavily on the designer in this area and could not be happier with the result. We are equally happy with how the project turned out overall. The work was done well with emphasis on quality and detail. Several people have commented on how natural the transition from the existing house to the addition looks. Though there was a slight slow-down stemming from a delay in Dominion moving a power-line, everything ran smoothly when work was going on. We never felt short-changed or as if short cuts were taken, quite the opposite. There were instances when, for compliance or aesthetic reasons, additional work needed to be done and was with no change to our originally quoted total. This was all the more impressive because the aesthetic changes were issues and suggestions brought to our attention, not the other way around. Communication was generally smooth (it could have been a little better around the delay), and staff as well as contractors were easy to work with. Several months in, we are still enjoying the new space and have not had any issues or concerns pop up. I would recommend Graves for the quality and emphasis on getting it right versus just getting it done."

"The crew from the Garrett Group were fantastic.  After being abandoned by another local contractor at the last minute, Dave was able to quickly come to our home and assess our property and provided us with an estimate.  We explained that we had a tight deadline for completing the work in our yard and within two days we had a finished product.  Dave's crew worked tirelessly to make sure that everything was exactly the way we wanted it and went the extra mile to keep the rest of our property clean while they worked.  We truly appreciate everything they did.  We would absolutely use the Garrett Group again and would recommend them to friends!
