"Dan of done rite contracting was recommended to me by my son who had a similar problem in his home. I met Dan there as he was finishing up my sons work and was impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. I scheduled an appointment with Dan and met with him about a week later. he was running a bit late and called me an hour before our scheduled meet and said he would be about 30 minutes late. That was fine because he called to let me know and did arrive when he said he would. One of the things I like most and was most impressed with was his constant communication with me as to his arrive times and punctuality. He arrived and looked things over, gave me an estimate and explained that once he opened the floor and walls there may be additional costs. This is an old house so that was A reasonable observation. I agreed and we scheduled a date for him to begin. He called me a few days before the scheduled date and informed me that he was on track to begin on time. He arrived on time that day along with 2 other workers who were very pleasant to deal with. He assessed how to begin, prepped the area and began. he worked that first day until 9 PM that night. He asked if that would be okay and I said I was fine with it. My wife and I were both impressed that he was willing to put that much time in. The job took about a week and he was on time every day. He was the primary person working on the job from start to finish with the exception of the tile work which he had an excellent tile worker perform. The job was completed on time and to our satisfaction. there were additional cost's but they were very reasonable. Dan showed how things were progressing every step of the way. They were professional, clean and respectful. Dan took the time to answer our questions and addressed our concerns. We were so impressed that i asked him if he'd be able to replace the faucet in my 2nd bathroom and he returned the next day and took care of it at a very reasonable price. As a result of this experience I am going to be contacting Dan in the near future to replace my kitchen counter tops and replace some pipes in the basement. I would not hesitate to recommend "Done Rite Contracting" to any of my family and friends. I have been a home owner for almost 40 years and have many contractors work on my homes with many horror stories to tell. This by far was the most pleasant experience. I have never written a review before but felt compelled to write this one because of the effort Dan put forth."

"Mr. Aca was very accommodating to my schedule he came to assess what needed to be done early before I went to work so I didn’t have to miss a day. He replaced the damaged pipes and even cleaned out the sewer pipe without me asking. He installed my brand new toilet. I’ve found my go to plumber."

"I am a homeowner that is a bit handy around the house. I have fixed leaky and replaced faucets, painting, roof repairs, etc. But when it comes to a broken boiler, I want to go to a professional. And Mario the Plumber is certainly a professional who does quality work. I am extremely pleased with his professionalism, his quality of work and his knowledge. He was able to quickly fix my boiler and get it running again and also fixed a few lingering problems. He was extremely helpful in answering all and any questions I had. I was a bit worried about having a non working boiler while the heating season is still on but I came away feeling that Mario has done the best job possible and without feeling like I broke the bank. I donâ t recommend service provider easily to my friends and family but Mario is definitely someone who I can recommend in the future."

"It has been said that the judge of a civilization by how it discards their, er, "liquid wastes." When that liquid waste was not flowing properly in the basement of my 120+ year old home, I was very concerned that this would be the downfall of the civilization, at least by how it is constituted in my home. So when Pasquale showed up and with his magic "snake camera" revealed that the sewer pipe under my basement had collapsed, I was VERY concerned. I had visions of raw sewage flooding my basement and workers digging something akin to the Panama Canal in my basement - you know: dirt! As it turned out, Pasquale runs an operation that runs very smoothly: he and his crew came out on a Friday morning at 8:30 am (on the dot!) and started taking up the concrete in my basement (it was a trench about 3 feet wide and 4 feet deep.) They had to move a lot of shelves out of the room where the digging was taking place, and they were careful when doing so. Pasquale estimated it would take a week to complete the work, but this dude underpromises and overdelivers: it took 3 long days of work (they generally worked from 8:30 am to about 4 pm and they DON'T take 2 hour "lunch breaks.") Since most of this work took place on a weekend (Friday - Sunday), I expected that I probably paid extra, but not having a working sewage line was not an option for me and my tenants. In the end Pasquale and his colleagues did a beautiful job (however "beautiful" installing a new sewer pipe could be.) I can now get a good night's sleep knowing that Pasquale guaranteed that this pipe will last until 2122, which works out to be about $150/year. Would you pay that much to know that your sewage pipe won't back up again? I used to pay $250/year to have this cruddy old pipe cleaned, so I not only do I sleep better at night (easily worth the 41¢ per night), but it's one less thing I have to worry about in this old house. Postscript: About a week after they finished, a small pipe developed a leak which may or may not have been caused by the work done. Pasquale was arrived within an hour and fixed it in about 15 minutes. Good plumbers are hard to find: they try to sell you unnecessary work, or don't show up to work, or show up late, or do part of the job, then disappear for a few days or weeks, or they just do cruddy work. P & A is an amazing company, and show that our civilization still has good people around to take care of our sewage."

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Brooklyn, NY

You can absolutely install an outdoor mixture tap outside your home. An outdoor mixer tap blends hot and cold water before it leaves the spout, giving you a steady temperature for rinsing produce, washing hands, or spraying down patio furniture. As long as a plumber runs both hot and cold supply lines and insulates them against freezing, a mixer outside performs just like the one in your kitchen.

Outdoor faucet handles come in twist, lever, or knob varieties, all designed to stand up to the elements while giving you precise flow control. They’re built from tough materials yet offer the same comfort and ease of use as indoor faucets. Ask your plumber for a selection and for recommendations on the best option for your needs.

Start by pinpointing the leak—often it’s a worn washer, a loose packing nut, or a damaged gasket. If it’s salvageable, replace the faulty part; otherwise, you may need a new faucet. Always turn off the water before starting repairs, and test thoroughly when you’re done to confirm you’ve stopped the leak.

You can protect your outdoor faucets during the winter months by shutting off the water supply to the outdoor faucet before freezing weather arrives and by always disconnecting any attached hoses. You can further safeguard your outdoor faucets against ice by insulating the pipe and installing a basic faucet cover.

An outdoor faucet can last 20 years, though budget models may wear out in 10, and high-end ones can push 30 or more. Proper installation, routine upkeep, and careful use help you get the most life from any spigot. Ask your plumber for maintenance and care recommendations to get the most from your outdoor faucet.

Replacing an outdoor spigot yourself might work if you’re handy, but a professional plumber guarantees code compliance, reduces the risk of water damage, and offers peace of mind. If you’re not sure about soldering or local regulations, it’s best to hire a licensed plumber for a lasting fix that you can feel confident in.
