"Arrived on schedule. Went through the elimination process and determined problem was in the line to the pump or the pump itself (no water pressure). The service rep explained everything so that I understood fully what was going to happen. The pipe to the well motor was pulled up and a nickel sized hole was found in the pipe about 10 feet from the pump. The pipeline was galvanized metal and was very rusty. More holes were sure to develop; so, I had the whole line replaced. We also found the pump was 30 plus years old so, I had that replaced too. The service rep kept me informed through the entire installation process; as well as what to do after everything was completed. The pump had to be flushed with chlorine so, there is a short waiting process, tap flushing proceedure and water testing that he explained before leaving."

"We have used Cardinal for our HVAC and plumbing maintenance and replacement needs for more than several years now, and their technicians are professional AND personable -- we especially like Tyler (HVAC) and Brandon (Plumbing). Plus, Cardinal's occasional service specials and coupons make using them cost-efficient. My only suggestion is that a service window (say, two or four hours) is provided for scheduled non-emergency appointments, so that I'm able to make other appointments for the day."

"We used Kegonsa Remodeling for a major kitchen renovation in a nearly 100-year-old house. Before the remodel everything in the kitchen looked cheap and worn down (think 1970s brown, everywhere!), and the overall arrangement of the space was really inefficient. They came in and proposed a design that was the best balance of affordability and ideal features out of half a dozen contractors we interviewed. Once we began working with them, they provided consistent updates and met with us on a regular basis, enough so that even with unavoidable pandemic slowdowns, it still felt like the project was always moving forward. Once the remodel began, they had nearly daily updates for us on what was coming next, and the project actually finished ahead of schedule! Now we have a kitchen that has at least 3x the workspace, a significantly improved flow, and easily twice as much storage as our previous one did. We get compliments all the time, and recommend Kegonsa's work any chance we get!"

"Bruce C Our well pump was having pressure problems, so we called Wells to check it out. After a thorough inspection, the bad news was that the pump was wearing out. It was 14 years old and servicing three families, so with Wisconsin winters and below zero temperatures, plus Christmas approaching, we knew it was time. Wells provided a detailed estimate for the new pump and recommended parts that should be replaced. We scheduled the service, though we had to wait about a week due to heavy snow and sub-zero temperatures. The weather finally warmed above zero the morning they arrived at 7 AM to start the work. Mike explained everything he was going to do before getting started. He was very knowledgeable and patient, answering all of my questions clearly. The crew worked all day, and we had water flowing again by 2 PM. Highly recommend Wells."

"After hearing our well pump turning on and off after short intervals I joined Angies' List to find a Plumber. After reading the reviews I decided to go with Stoppleworth Plumbing. I called them and they explained that they did not work on wells and pumps but referred me to Pump Connection LLC. I called Pump Connection around noon and Randy took my call. I explained the problem and Randy said they could have someone stop out late afternoon. Dean (Technician) was right on time, quickly diagnosed the problem and went over the options for correcting. His recommendation was to replace the pressure tank, pressure switch and pressure gauge. I gave him the go ahead and he did the work in an expediant manner. Start to finish he was there for 1 hour. His work was neat and he took all old parts with him, saving me the headache of disposal. Pump Connection did a great job and I'll definitely use them again in the future."

"Chris explained the process. We appreciate that he suggested the best option and didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. Scott did a great job with the install. He was on time and out in less time than was allowed. He cleaned up everything. The new system works great. We paid more, but the Kinetico system was the best reviewed in our research."

"The faucet to our new washing machine sprang a leak. It wasn't an emergency since it was only a problem when the washer was filling. We called Dale and he arrived the following day. He diagnosed the problem, replaced the faucet, and was out the door within a half an hour. He was friendly, and professional. It was a small problem but they treated us like we were as important as a big job. We highly recommend them. Our washer is filling great, no spritzing from the faucet. <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Brooklyn, WI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
