"went well. he delivered the table exactly as i expected with no surprises which sounds boring but means a lot in a world where I have become accustomed to there always being problems, pop-ups or changes for me to get what was promised initially. I appreciate his attention to detail and would use him again. He is worth it."

"We called Wildlife Evictors based on a friend's recommendation and were not disappointed. There were multiple raccoons driving us crazy making noise in the soffit area on the back of our house. Shinyan came over, found the entry point and installed an exit door, but some of the raccoons wouldn't leave after mangling the exit door. I suggested he install the exit door where the vent is located, so Shinyan installed the exit door there, and they left shortly thereafter. After we were assured they were definitely gone, Shinyan came back and reinstalled the vent. He repairs the house entry points with metal and paints over the metal to blend in with the house. He is punctual and followed up so I didn't have to call him to come back. We were impressed."

"Javier and his team got the job done right. We like that they pressure washed the house prior to painting and also replaced some damaged wood pieces and repaired window sill water damage and repainted them. They did a great job and the home looks wonderful. Thank you Javier and team for being dedicated to your profession!"

"The communication was very good.  They recommended a 'flatish'  and I wanted something more shinny;  they were right in their recommendation.  There were extra costs beyond the original offer due to accent walls and a larger room + closet.  They were very reasonable.
I think I would recommend a little more clarity on the front end about possible additional charges, but I think their intent was good.

"I found out that Mr. Handyman of the SW Atlanta Suburbs does NOT actually service SW Atlanta. The name is misleading. They are actually Mr. Handyman of Peachtree City... or NW Gwinnett Alpharetta, Roswell, Sandy Springs or Sugar Hill. I know the "ATLANTA" name is good for business, but it is not necessarily truth in advertising. Therefore I have no actual rating and since I can't hire, I can't give a referral for the quality of work. (The rating system does not have an option for "services not used" only A-F, hence the "C"."

FAQs for wood stairs and railings installation and replacement projects in Brooks, GA

A pro can set an attic ladder in two to four hours, including framing adjustments and finish work. Complex installs—like cutting a brand-new opening or trimming joists—land toward the high end of that window. Tackle the job yourself and plan on a full day, plus an extra pair of hands, since one mis-measurement can slow everything down.

Local building codes drive this decision. If your ceiling has a fire-rating requirement, the ladder must match it to maintain that protective barrier. A rated unit slows flame spread between the attic and living space, buying valuable evacuation time and limiting damage.

Because codes vary by city and even by neighborhood, check with the permitting office or ask your contractor before you order the ladder.

Aluminum ladders are light, rust-proof, and easy to maneuver, making them a practical choice for most households. Wood models handle higher weight loads and can match traditional trim if aesthetics top your list, but they’re heavier and need occasional upkeep.

Compare the ladder’s duty rating, your ceiling height, and how often you’ll use it. The best option is the one that balances safety, convenience, and the look you want without stretching the budget.
