"Aaron & his crew took on the monumental task of power washing, repairing, and re-staining our 2-historic-homes-combined, 3,000 sq. ft. (2-story in height) home w/large, embellished porch, wooden-beamed carport, and wooden perimeter fence near Bellville, Texas during the hot, humid month of August 2021. The exterior of the home had not been touched in nearly 20 years and was in dire need of repair and/or replacement of beveled, hard-to-find red cedar siding and a TON of silicon caulking and TLC. Initially, Aaron gave us a much less expensive (AND longer lasting) option of "painting" the siding vs. having it re-stained carefully explaining the pros and cons of each. From the start, Aaron was friendly, knowledgable, and professional in every aspect of our interactions. His initial job cost proposal was delivered via email using an easy to understand software program. VERY professional! Once the work began, Aaron never failed to return my calls/texts in a timely manner, and he was forthright about costs and expectations whenever any unforeseen complications arose (i.e., difficulties finding supplies). His crew even showed up a day ahead of schedule to begin work! WOW! That's service!!! Additionally, Aaron's professional craftsmen and painters showed up every day, worked in blazing hot heat without complaint, and never failed to keep the worksite clean and tidy when they left for the day. Their level of conscientiousness and care was unmatched. When the job was complete, it was beyond our expectations - BEAUTIFULLY done with fine attention to detail. Then, 5 days following the completion of work, we had landscapers accidentally damage a section of siding. "Rob and his crew installed a root barrier to protect the back of our house from foundation problems from a large oak tree.  They also added catch basins to existing drainage pipes as well as replacing some piping where needed.  Rob spent a generous amount of time taking a good look at our property, assessing what would work best and answering all of my questions. We were very impressed with all of the work.  They were very professional, friendly, on time, and fixed items that we didn't even notice needed repair. Everything was on budget.  Most of all, they paid attention to detail, covered everything sufficiently, and cleaned up when finished.  Also, I was kept in the loop on scheduling.  I would highly recommend Silver Oaks for any job large or small.  It's nice to know that I can trust a company for my home repairs.  I'll certainly call them again next time.

"Well, it was good, they did a good job.The thing I had with Lux was that price is somewhat deceptive. I wound up spending 10 grand on that roof The thing for me when you read that, the way they present it, it's almost like it's a catch. Obviously, if I had 47,000 acres and I was asking for a roof job for $5,000, that would be unreasonable. But under the circumstances, I have to stay in this house.I like the fact that they were able to pull it up and my house is only literally 3,000 Square feet so what does that have to do with a roof. almost came across like and I had to pay it. At that point I paid $5,000, that's almost like the intro price and then they come back to you and say, well you gotta big roof so it's going to be double the price.So, it wound up costing me $9,998. Not only that they took my satellite it off my house then dropped it off the roof and broke it. So while they did reimburse me for that, the issue was and don't take this the wrong way because I kumbaya everybody, but there was nobody I could communicate with. So, I'm like what do you do! Next thing I know they dropped something off the two story roof and broke it up. They gave me the cost back that it cost me for the company to come back out. So, I would never dispute the fact that they reimbursed me. Of Course, it inconvenienced because it was out during football season, in conjunction with the guys don't come out immediately so I was without service for a few days. They asked me but there was that language barrier and again, I'm not pointing the finger at anybody. My Espanol is limited, and they did ask but because I could not articulate to him or understand what they were truly asking me. I was like yeah, the roof right there and next thing I know they dropped the satellite off the roof. So it would have been nice, that if you have people at least have somebody on site to articulate or at least communicate to me and that was my thing. Please don't take this as a negative thing because I don't have a problem with anybody. I just feel the pricing was deceptive; you know going from $5,000 to $10,000, and it sealed the deal when my satellite dropped on the ground and here again, they paid me back or they reimbursed me for it but that left a bitter taste in my mouth. The company was fine, the workmanship was good. They need to provide better clarity in their pricing.They came out in a timely manner; it was everything associated with doing good business. The company needs to give clarity and the customer needs clarity on what exactly is the charge. If it's $5,000 whats the $5,000 for and if its more than $5,000 what are they paying for."
