While my total cost for the repair was $80 which included the $35 diagnostic fee, the lowest other price quote was over $400. I am very pleased with this new type of appliance repair. "UPDATED 10/30/2020: This is a revision of the 10/7/20 review. They did refund the overpayment and I'm glad that they have been working to make sure that they fixed the problem. They kept me informed about the schedule and arrived and checked the washing machine and determined that it was not the washing machine but I needed an electrician (When the electrician arrived after extensive searching they discovered that the problem was the sump pump) which has now been repaired). They quoted me a fee for the service call. While they were there I asked them about another appliance I was having trouble with. They took a peek and indicated what they thought was the matter and what would be needed for the repair. They gave me a bill for the quoted repair and I paid it by charge card. I was shocked to see that I was charged double the amount I was quoted when I looked at my credit card statement. I'm not sure if they charged me double because they looked at the other appliance, if it was a mistake or something else but I wish they had informed me that I was being charged more. As for the would I hire again I wish there was a maybe button."

I hired him because of his high Angie's List and Washington Consumer Checkbook rating and was not disappointed. I also avoided the Whirlpool contract repair company that doesn't appear on Angies List but was one of the worst companies rated by Checkbook. He carefully assessed potential causes of the oven problem we were having and figured out we needed to replace a control board. "Steve kept us up to date about the parts he ordered. When the parts came in, Mike let us know and scheduled a time for Steve to come for the repairs. Steve was able to fix the range quickly, but when he got to work on the dishwasher, he realized the leak was coming from a part other than what he originally thought. He explained all this in a way I could easily understand. Again, Steve kept us up to date about the new part he ordered (there was a glitch with that, from the shipper's end). Mike got us scheduled again, and a day later was able to move it up a day. Steve came on time, and got right to work. I could tell it was a difficult repair, but Steve stayed in a good mood the entire time. He told us we had some water damage, and he gave us the name of a builder whom he had known for a long time and who would be able to repair the water damage. I really appreciated that. I would not call anyone else for appliance repair, Appliance Guys are super!"
