"This was a gazebo roof replacement. Shingles were covered with moss and 5 of the 8 panel edges were wet rotted. Repairs required 4 or 5 sheets of 3/4" plywood and 2 X 4 supports be replaced before the new shingles could be installed. The roof pitch is very steep and slippery under the removed shingles. All of this required slow, careful work that Robert tackled himself, not a group of subcontractors. The finished work was exactly what I contracted for and I am completely satisfied with the quality and appearance of the job. Robert and Casey were a great team and displayed excellent people skills.in my interactions with them, which was daily. We found Lumbee on Angie's List after we discovered the damage, and contacted them the next business day. Despite a heavy workload created by the storm, Mr. Barnes himself (Lumbee's owner) inspected our roof 48 hours later, gave us a written estimate (with photos of damages) that evening, and fully repaired our roof the following day. I eliminated one company that would not provide an estimate unless they could present it in person with my wife present (code for high-pressure sales). The second company was great, but did not get their bid to me until almost a week after they promised it. By comparison, Joe Makay got right back to me on first contact and every time I had a question. He was able to work my project into the schedule within a week and got got the entire large and complex job done in just two days. The end result was outstanding and well worth the price. I only rated their price as a B because their cost was somewhat higher than the other (larger) company that bid; however I went with Mckay because they were more responsive and customer service focused. I felt confident they would take good care of me and they did just that."

"All the folks were very professional, from the salesmen down to the cleanup crew. The crew has obviously done this before and the whole thing was completed in less than 3 1/2 days total. We had a large break between roof and siding jobs due to our vacation but the crew got all the issues right and their work was great. They salesmen worked very closely with the insurance adjuster and things went smoothly from that standpoint. We did our part by clearing away the bushes that would get in their way for the siding work.
The roof was of the laminate type which replaced our many years old single layer shingle style, which they don't make anymore. The siding had to be ordered because we used the kind that best matched the previous siding so we would not have any issues with the local HOA architectural committee. It is rare that we didn't use the and quot;tallerand quot; siding type which is more common now but again we wanted it to look very similar to before; just without the hail damage. The EA guys did all that and let us know along the way what was going on. The salesmen came by a few times during construction to check that things were going well.
The came out to explain why the caulking was not needed around every window and door. Previous caulking around the old siding did not look good. This looks great. We could not be happier.
