"<p>Bravo Rain Hunters!  Ricardo was the consummate professional throughout all phases of my new sprinkler system.  He helped to configure the system to fit within my limited budget.  He closely monitored the quality of work performed by his employees and inspected the finished product.  The work was completed very quickly, as promised.  Ricardo was there to test the system, make sure the sprinkler heads, rain sensor, and timer settings were calibrated for maximum efficiency.  His work is guaranteed with another check on the system scheduled for next week.  And, he will come each year to replace the battery in the timer along with inspections of the system.  </p> <p>Ricardo was very thorough in his communications with me, took the initiative to call me several times throughout the proposal-installation-and, completion phases; I was always well-informed.</p> <p>Even though I did not use Rain Hunters for the actual landscaping, Ricardo shared some excellent landscaping ideas.  He demonstrated that he is quite the "artist," as is evidenced in the photos of his work on his website, and he is very knowledgeable about what types of plants and flowers would work in shaded areas and areas that receive more sunlight.</p> <p>I highly recommend Rain Hunters and will definitely call on them again for other jobs in the future.</p> <br />"

"We have worked with this firm for a year.  We were new to the area and needed landscaping and regular monthly yard maintenance.  We found this  company on Angie's List and decided to hire them. <br /> We asked for a bid on landscaping and although expensive  we accepted it.  They did the work as planned and it was adequate but not outstanding.  We arranged to have twice monthly mowing, edging etc and the workers came regularly.  However, the owner hires men who state they have had experience but in fact  have not so that often they broke sprinkler heads, lines etc with their mowers.and even cut down young tree.  The owner immediately responded to complaints  by visiting and attempting to repair the damage. While effective on that occasion it did not fix the problem and we found that he charged us for repair of the damage caused by his workers and the same issues continued.  When the HOA complained about the appearance of our front yard grass we decided to leave and have been surprised at how well the grass looks when properly watered.  Since leaving  him we have found that his charges were excessive given the poor quality of work. <br />"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Brownsville, TX

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
