"Baker provided absolutely outstanding service every step of the way. I had already left voice mail messages with one or two other chimney services first, and they never even responded. Great way to run a business, eh? So I tried Baker Chimney, and lo and behold - a real live person answered the phone. She was friendly and efficient, and she set up a very specific one-hour time window a few days later when I could expect Chris to come by (not the typical half-day). Sure enough, about an hour before his expected arrival, Chris called to say he was just finishing up his prior job and was running a bit late - he apologized profusely. As it turned out, he was far more apologetic than he needed to be, because he arrived maybe all of 15 minutes late - no big deal at all. Mostly I was impressed that he called to keep me posted on his progress. <br /> Anyway, while Chris was doing his damage assessment his partner cleaned out our fireplace - very neat and meticulous. Chris checked out not only the chimney but also the foundation, the heating system venting, even the water lines entering the foundation. He was efficient, friendly, and thorough, and the fact that he was a fireman added to his credibility. When St. Nick's arrived, they told us that the flute was fine and we just needed a cleaning! He cleaned our chimney and noticed a couple items that need fixing, such as a lose brick on the top of the chimney. He just fixed it without any charge and went above and beyond to help us!
