This was a huge project that went well from the very beginning in large part to their work ethics, knowledge and performance. <br /> <br /> From the first day when Matt Harder came out for the estimate, we knew they were the ones we wanted to work with. We did our homework in researching them thru BBB and other web sites besides making numerous calls to previous clients and tradesmen they work with. <br /> <br /> Steve Harder was the point man for our remodeling and he was wonderful to work with. Our work began on June 6, 2011 and we moved back in on November 15, 2011. We put a lot of thought and research into what we wanted our remodel to look like and Harder Bros. did not disappoint. We did not hesitate to ask Steve for his opinion and peppered him with a load of questions before we started and during construction. Any problems that came up during the remodel did not cause us to lose any sleep because we could trust Steve. That's means a lot from us because over time we have worked with many contractors and handymen - some good and some bad. They were always reachable by phone, text or email. They stayed within our budget and any cost increase was run by us first. With a job this big, some unforeseen things were to be expected because of the age of the house and scope of the work. The unforeseen things were few and I credit this to Steve's and Matt's experience and knowledge in planning out our job. All the workers were top notch and non-work days were few and far between. Steve stayed in touch constantly and always let us know what the next week would bring during the different stages of work. Also, the quality of the materials used were very good. They do not cut corners or take shortcuts. <br /> <br /> Our house is just beautiful now and we know it was done right. Steve is still in and out occasionally finishing up some of the small things that needed adjusting after we moved back in. Again, easy to reach and doesn't hesitate to care for whatever the problem might be. <br /> <br /> We're going to tear down our existing garage and build a new one this summer. It's nice to know that we don't have to search for a contractor to do this. Harder Bros. will be getting our call. We can't recommend them highly enough. You won't be disappointed."

"Gary showed up when he said he would and worked very hard each day until the job was finished as quoted. All scrap material was taken away each day and site was left cleaner than when he arrived.  This house was a Victorian built in 1929 and he built the porch as if it looked when built and we could not be more pleased.  Work was outstanding and we recommend him to everyone who ask who did the work. <br />"

"We were in dire need of new shingles on the roof and <br /> gutters. We called 4 companies for estimates. Of the four, 2 came to us with <br /> very professional consultations – Tri-State being one of them (the other two <br /> either mailed an estimate or called and gave one over the phone). Tri-State’s <br /> rep provided along with 2 different estimates, all their licensing information, <br /> copies of insurance as well as a complete contract with details of how and when <br /> services were to be performed and completed (weather willing). Of the two <br /> companies that provided complete information, Tri-state offered the best price <br /> for what we were wanting done, didn’t try to do a hard sell on the more <br /> expensive shingle. <br /> After setting a date for them to do the job about a month <br /> after signing the contract, they called a week later saying they could start immediately <br /> due to a gape in their scheduled work. So within a couple of weeks of setting <br /> the contract up, we had a new roof, gutters were put on within the same week. <br /> The job was done well, cleanup was thorough, plants next to the house were not harmed (we have a <br /> vegetable garden growing right next to one side of the house and no plant was <br /> damaged!). On almost every level, this company did the job professionally, did <br /> it well and were in and out in only a couple of days. <br /> The only criticism I have is that I had requested to know <br /> when the guttering people were going to show up. They didn’t let me know they <br /> were going to be there the next day. <br /> <br /> <br />"
