"Shawn and his entire team were friendly, polite and took great care to keep our home clean and with little inconvenience during the project of drain tiling and installing a sump pump in our basement. They also fixed a crack in the wall that was discovered after the estimate was created."

"Needed sewage pump replaced and line opened up. Called several others (Barr, A+,Fremyer, Comstock, Tri County) . None knew or cared what to do. I was told various things, call someone else or just ghosted. Powells took the bull by the horns. They tracked down the manufacturer of my old school system here in The Woods and with some detective work diagnosed and replaced pump without digging it all up. Two prior companies had said it needed to be dug up. If you have a REAL problem, call a REAL plumber!"

"I work abroad and my wife and kids were at home when suddenly the water stopped working. We didn’t know what to do or who to call. My wife tried talking to electricians and plumbers but none of them could fix it and said it was a well pump issue and they couldn’t help. We are new home owners and not familiar with these things so my family went without water for almost 2 weeks until... I randomly Googled “well pump companies” and saw that “Tri County Pumps” had amazing reviews so I called them. They were the kindest and most understanding company I’ve ever worked with. They got there exactly when needed and fix everything and had qualified electricians and plumbers onsite while fixing our pump and did everything step by step with us so we could understand. Their entire staff from owners to admin to on-the-job workers were beyond amazing to work with and they made it so easy. Even from 1,000’s of miles away. I wish I could give them more stars. God bless you all!!"

"He came out the first time for a simple de-winterization on a house I had recently purchased and showed us how the water pump had cracked and said he would need to replace it.  He explained that we could get a cheaper one from a big box store but also said it was very likely that the same thing would happen again and offered to pick up a more reliable on.e After a little bit of phone tag (mostly my fault) he was back in a timely manner and had the new pump installed and even moved it away from the wall and recommended that we build an insulation box with an incandescent bulb (not a heat lamp because he has seen them start fires when they get too hot).  He gave us great information was very friendly and professional. <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Bunker Hill, WV

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
