"We hired Jack some time ago for some big jobs and are having issues now because of shoddy work done at the time. First, both bathrooms’ ceilings were painted with flat paint. Over time, the moisture caused the paint to flake and mold to form. A semi- gloss should have been used, which I would have expected a professional to know. We had them install a jacuzzi tub. The plumber mixed the hot and cold lines. We had to shut the water to the jacuzzi off to be able to get hot water in the shower. We will be selling soon and this will not be a cheap fix. The upper cabinets they installed in the kitchen are coming off of the ceiling. The rest of the work was okay, but not happy about having unprofessional with done after we paid so much."

"We used Above & Beyond Construction to gut and remodel one full and one half bathroom in our 1960-built house. This was our first big home remodeling project and we couldn’t have been happier with the results. Chester and his crew were easy to work and communicate with, kept us updated with timing and progress, and identified additional issues that needed to be addressed (aka some really nasty old corroded cast iron pipes and cracked joists in our basement) to prevent future catastrophes. If we hadn’t fixed them we know we’d have ended up having to rip out the beautiful new bathroom within 6 months due to the failure of the old plumbing! They take pride in their work and take care to protect the rest of the house from dust and dirt, completely clean up the work site at the end of every day, and we had no problem trusting any of them in the house when we couldn’t be home. There were no budget surprises, either; the estimate was right on target. When we get up the nerve to tackle the gut rehab of our old kitchen we will look no further than Above & Beyond Construction!"

"We hired G&G to resurface our kitchen cabinets and replace the counter top.  We kept the original cabinet bases but you would never know it.  Our kitchen looks brand new and only by looking inside the drawers or closely inside the cabinets can you tell that they are not brand new cabinets.  Our 1968 kitchen had not been touched since the house was built and the cabinets looked like plastic fake paneling so there was no way to paint them and re-staining was not an option.  Frank replaced all the cabinet doors and drawer fronts and then laminated all the exposed surfaces with matching wood.  He was very accommodating with requests we made including being able to raise up the level of the counter top.  He sub-contracted the counter top installation and those workers were great as well.  He was on time to begin and end the project, the workers kept things neat at the end of every day.  It only took 4 business days to complete the whole project.  We would recommend Frank or use him again ourselves.  The price was a bit higher but the quality of materials was better than others we saw.
