"We hired Alex and team to remodel both our kitchen and primary bathroom. Overall, it was a smooth process and the whole team executed great work. We started the process working with one of his fantastic designers - Kathryn - while working the bulk of our time with Gary, his general contractor. Gary was a delight - always punctual, communicative, hired the best set of electricians, painters, plumbers, carpenters, tile person, etc. He kept us up to date on the timeline as well as brought us along on each step of the way never completing a task until he ran it by us first to make sure we were in agreement. Kathryn was equally amazing - patient, had a great eye and gave us ideas we never would have thought of on our own. My only piece of feedback would be that towards the end of the project, we could have been better kept in the loop on the extras that were purchased that were part of our bill to help complete the project. Those were outside the labor estimate and communication could have been more clear on what the final bill would look like. However, I would hire Alex and his team again in a heartbeat and have recommended Alex to most of our neighbors as well as close friends and co-workers. Professional team delivering quality work!"

On the install day Erik and his co-worker showed up on time ready to work. I had expected the work to take 2 1/2 days. Erik finished it in 2. Wednesday night I got to use my new bath/shower. I am completely happy with how it all turned out."

"In the past year Rob has done many jobs for me.  Last fall he replaced the vent/fan in our master bathroom.  This consisted of crawling into the smallest attic crawl space on a wet and cold day for six hours in order to make sure that the fan was properly wired and vented correctly to the outside.  This spring I hired him to close off some parts of our basement, so that our cat couldn't gain access to some dangerous crawlspaces.  Rob took the time to come up with a custom solution so that our cat would be safe, he also took the time to help me balance my front loading washing machine so that it wouldn't dance across my basement floor anymore.  Finally, last week Rob and his wife Alex came over and installed my Little Free Library in my front yard.  He made sure that is was installed correctly and then gave me some advice on how to maintain it, he and Alex also donated some of the supplies.  Which was awesome.  Thank-you.

"I recently hired Lo's Contracting to (re)paint the outside of my house, including the shutters, window trim, and garage doors. Lo's had painted my house 14 years ago and the paint was still in pretty good shape (!!) but was starting to peel in places and had developed cracks between the cedar boards. As usual, Lo's Contracting did a fantastic job (special shout-out to Eliceo and his crew), performing above and beyond expectations. They dismantled my shutters and painted beneath them, power washed and painted difficult to reach places (e.g., behind large bushes) and were meticulous about the trim work. They even discovered (and promptly fixed) significant dry rot beneath the roof overhang, where a shingle had gone missing. Needless to say they were also on-time, professional, friendly, and made sure I was perfectly satisfied with the results of their work."

He replaced old flooring with new tile, and also tiled the walls around the tub and shower. He had to build a new wall to enclose the new tub. In addition, the job required some plumbing, and some excavation of an old pipe.
This was at my son's house, and John was very accommodating of my son's inexperience in home remodeling. expalining everything, and giving recommendations, and helping him makedecisions.
