"Very good experience with them. They were very very professional. <br /> <br /> Just everything you mentioned was very good, they took their time, he showed us, we didn't know exactly what we wanted but they explained everything, the benefits of each type of flooring. They showed us a lot of selections and then finally made decisions but they were very patient, very professional and when they said they're gonna be there, they were there on the day that they should be there so everything well. They did a beautiful job, very nice job. They took their time to do a really good job, the floor looks beautiful."

"It went really well. They responded to our initial contact promptly and set a date for an estimate. Again it was provided promptly.  We had the recommendation from Angie's List, and we when we found out who the provider was, we already knew him, so, we did not get another estimate. It seemed like a lot of money, but we did not have reason to believe we'd get it cheaper elsewhere and we had confidence in the provider.  It was done sooner than the date we thought and looked great. <br /> Clean-up was obviously really good since we couldn't tell there was any mess.  I still see the places where the tack strip from the carpet was, but our guests over the weekend never commented, so maybe it's because I knew they were there. <br /> Dan gave good instructions and suggestions on how to care for the hardwood.  The smell of the stain and polyurethane stayed for several days, so anyone wanting this service should plan for that as I don't expect it can be helped. Overall, we are very happy. <br />"

"<p>They were very punctual and professional. They put tile on the wall, tub, and floor. I am very happy with the results. They finished the project up in a couple days and cleaned everything up afterwards.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"I needed carpet and vinyl flooring installed in a short period of time, which Empire Today was able to fulfill. I felt that I paid a premium for service on short notice, which I expected. The salesperson was a bit pushy and asked more than once, "do we have a deal?", which felt smarmy. On the day of installation, all went as planned until the vinyl installation was complete. The quarter round was not replaced. When I asked about it, the installer said that "it looks fine without it," which I disagreed with. He offered to put caulk down, which helped, but still did not look like a complete project. I did not like how he dismissed my request. I sent more than one email to Empire Today about this problem, but they did not follow up with me about this issue."

"Our purple carpet had about 100 urine stains from previous dogs and our own. The specialist, Robert, matched to color and treated every spot. If we didn't know where they were, we'd never know they spots had been there. Perfect job!"

"Excellent!! Above and beyond what we expected! We were having a very large and important party on June 1, 2013 and Molly & her team at Clines were able to fabricate, construct and install everything by Friday, 5/31/2013. This was amazing given that I only delivered the fabric for the outdoor panels the Tuesday before the party! We were all ecstatic."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Burlington, IN

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
