"Originally, we brought Lalone and his team in to repair our well after it was sideswiped by an automobile in the driveway.  We still had water but wanted to make sure that everything was "A-OK".  His technician discovered that the power supply line for the well had not been properly grounded in the pump housing when the original installation was completed thereby resulting in a potentially disastrous electrical hazard.  This problem was corrected the same day and the well's operation passed muster.   <br /> More recently and much to our surprise,  while getting breakfast ready, we discovered that we had no water even though everything was fine the night before.  Puzzling.  Mike responded to our call by sending out 2 technicians who diagnosed and corrected the problem in less than 5 minutes (ironically, the power supply to the well pump in the house had been taken off line in error - LaLone's boys remedied the deficient condition and cheerfully observed that I could blame my sister-in-law who had been in the basement the night prior. <br />"

"Tom arrived promptly when he said he would, which was about 24 hours after I initially called him.  He quoted me 650-700 over the phone to replace the pressure tank, gauge and switch, which took him about 40 minutes to do start to finish.  He said the job "went really easy so $650."  I had been quoted by another, larger plumbing company $1226 to do the same job, 3-5 days out, using the same exact brand replacement part. <br /> Many of his other reviews spoke of how he is very honest and open about his services and pricing, his expertise and professionalism.  He lived up to his expectations and I will certainly (although hopefully not too soon) call him first for heating and plumbing. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"The water tank was surging every time the water was turned on. I called C*** and explained the problem. They arrived on time and tried to pump air into water tank which was water logged and needed replaced. They replaced the unit at that time. They were very helpful and courteous. I would defiantly call them again in the future. <br />"

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Burton, MI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
