"I truly cannot say enough about Roman and how professional these guys were. My roof was a real end-of-life eyesore (as we were fairly aware of when purchasing our home). The excellent work they did to replace it will literally influence any future aesthetic updates I plan to make on my home. Their work is quite a game changer, to say the least! Prior to installing my roof, they also did some patch work on it towards the end of 2018 to fix some risky areas to hold things over through the winter. At this same time, my fiance unexpectedly lost a parent and Jon (one of the technicians) was kind enough to still do the work in my absence while being 100% respectful of the situation. As for the roof replacement, not only was it done at a very competitive price, but the entire crew was extremely efficient in that they completed the whole job in two days! At times it was I did not always hear back right away, which was understandable as many home contractors have had a slew of unpredictable factors to deal with this year, including weather. "The take away: Impressive! I'd hire him again without any hesitation and will recommend him to anyone who needs plaster work done. I had several areas in my house that needed plaster repaired from a roof leak and from a plumbing drain stack replacement. Other companies wouldn't take on the job or wanted $6K to $8K and a week to do it. Robert came in, took a quick look and some pictures and quoted me at $1,700 and could do it all in one day! Sounded too good to be true, but with all the good reviews he has, I hired him. He wasn't booked up, so I hired him on Monday and he scheduled the work Thursday and then finished everything in a half day. I think everything is done extremely well! The new plaster blends right into the old plaster. And that's the thing - it's plaster. He's able to do it in one day because he puts up sheet rock and plasters over it rather than putting up drywall and putting layers and layers of joint compound on the seams, which requires time to dry, then sanding, repeat. With plaster, you put it on once, smooth it out, let it dry and it's done, and frankly looks better that way. Anyway, I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about the experience and highly recommend Robert!"

"This was a challenging project from a sequencing standpoint and they handled their scheduling well, giving us a ballpark date, then a date to start work and then they followed through. The painters followed the carpentry and brick cleaning scopes and were ready to start in August.  We had a very definitive schedule we had to keep and they had to balance with the other contractor working both before and after them. The brick cleaning created efflorescence on the bricks and stains on the stonework. (UCS had completed this just last year, and although it previously looked great and held up very well, the lintels were now streaked pink and red.)
UCS was able to come out and complete the painting in October, after the efflorescence on the bricks cleared.  (We did not want them to paint too early if we had to get it cleaned again.)  We were unable to remove the stain from the stone ourselves, so we had Ultimate Custom Painting paint these.   This was an agreed upon change order, as it was not anticipated or included in the original scope of work and they also completed this within our needed time frame (the next day!).
As the base scope, they painted the door frame, transom trim, trim on  windows, gutter, and newly exposed or created dormer woodwork, a fairly complex design with several scallops, flutes, and trimmed, inset boxes, using 3 colors. They prepped the 120-year old wood and caulked the final painted surfaces as well.  They also performed repairs to the wood work that was exposed from August to October while we tried to contact the other contractor - there was a hole in the dormer and they installed the missing scallop part that had fallen into the gutter! They did not charge us for these repairs beyond the scope.
 It turned out beautifully.  It works very well with the work they completed last summer (paneled door, railing, lintels.)
