" I had a great experience with Mr. Appliance of Holland. They arrived right on time, diagnosed the issue with my refrigerator quickly, and had it running again the same day. The technician was professional and the pricing was transparent. Highly recommend for anyone in the Holland area!"

"Fantastic!!!! He tore out old flooring and installed new flooring, replaced the toilet and vanity and sink, and installed safety grab bars. Everything looks beautiful. He is friendly and a very strong worker. Does need a little work on time management but for us, it didn't matter as we planned to be home all weekend. We will be hiring him again."

"SJK can do just about anything! They installed my gazebo, totally remodeled my bathroom, made a frame for my huge bathroom mirror, fixed part of my roof, trimmed my huge trees, etc. If there was a problem trying to do what I asked Steve would always come up with a solution. I HIGHLY recommend SJK Handyman Services!"

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Byron-Center, MI

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
