"Jakubek did a great job on our basement remodel. David, Robert, Aric, and Tom showed up everyday on time, and were very polite, very quick, and very clean. They put down floor protection when they moved materials in and out of the house. At the start of each day they would explain what they were doing and at the end of the day we could walk through to check on progress and next steps. All of our requests were accommodated, and David was very responsive and flexible with change orders and a last minute decision that we made. Overall, the basement turned out great. It adds 50% more space to our house and provides a warm/clean place for the kids to play. If I could go back in time I'd hire David and Jakubek sooner."

"I can't say enough about these guys and wish I hadn't lost their contact information for a time. About 8 years ago, I had Sal and his guys do the finish work on my basement drywall that I hung. They also hung some drywall in the stairway going to the basement. Initially, they hung the soffit incorrectly but it was just a communication issue. I called Sal, he took a look and they came back and re-did it right away without hesitation. Their work has lasted this long without any problems. I started another remodeling project in my family room and needed a ceiling hung and finished, along with finishing some walls I had hung. Unfortunately, I had lost the contact information for Sal so I had to find another company. Long story short, this other company did an absolutely terrible job (Do not use NoticeTMA LLC for any drywall!). The family room adjoins the kitchen, and I had taken a wall down between them. I decided to carry the remodel over into the kitchen, and when it was time to hang the ceiling in the kitchen, I had found the old invoice from High Quality Painting and decided to see if they were still around. I am glad I did. Sal's son's came out to give me an estimate on my kitchen ceiling and also to repair the bad work in my family room. I decided to remove the new ceiling in the family room and have them do the whole thing. Their price was very competitive and everything turned out great. The old job didn't last 4 days without cracking. Luis' job has been up for a month now and there are no issues (and I am a very picky customer). I would highly recommend them for drywall hanging, finishing and repair."

"Howard and his whole crew were fantastic. I think we were a little picky about the design and paint schemes, but Howard's crew made it work for us and the porch looks really lovely. Plus, it looks like it's always been there, not like an addition. The carpenters worked hard to capture the essence of our original porch (from 1895) and the painter was very careful to match the original color scheme of the house. We could not be happier!"

"My interior designer crafted a plan to modify some existing built-ins in a bedroom. I contacted three carpenters to submit a proposal based on the sketch provided by my interior designer. Based on other reviews I decided to contact Old World Carpentry, Restoration, and Repair. Mr. Burns arranged an appointment to come discuss the project with me and present a proposal. After he cancelled our initial appointment, he showed up on-time after we rescheduled. He was extremely gracious and personable when discussing the project. Within two days, he texted me a rough estimate for labor that was simply too high. His proposal wasn't the highest I received, but I did receive a much more competitive bid that included labor and materials from a carpenter who has worked with my interior designer on other projects. I greatly appreciated Mr. Burns's interest in my home and my project and I wouldn't hesitate to contact him should I need any other carpentry or remodeling work in the future.
