"John" called to ask if it was okay if the repair person came a little early (by about 15 minutes) and I said certainly it was okay.  The man who came, and I'm afraid I didn't get his name right, but it was something like "Herve" was amazingly kind and courteous.  He did everything as far as I could tell that the "deal" said he would.  His English was maybe a bit limited, but it did not seem to matter because he just knew what he was supposed to do.  He replaced a tile that had fallen off the roof; he secured others and caulked cracked tiles.  After he had put everything on the truck to leave I remembered that I wanted him to also look at a chipped part of my patio ceiling that I thought might be caused by a leak.  (He was inspecting the roof, not my ceiling).  Right away he pulled off the ladder and went to work looking under the roof tile where I was concerned. He took a picture to show me it wasn't very bad at all and really didn't need much attention.   He then caulked a small area that appeared might (or could) have a problem and used a longer staple to secure part of the paper or mat under the tile.  All with a smile.  John, too, the contact person, seemed to be very accommodating and courteous.  It was just a pleasure to deal with a company who showed up and actually did what they were supposed to do without any hassle or grief.  I thought they might try and use the deal as a way of telling me I had all kinds of problems with my roof and it would cost me a bundle.  No way!  I will use them again and recommend them to my neighbors.

"It was the first time I had it done and I don't know whether it was good, bad or indifferent, I know he stuck a snake up all the way up and went off the roof and down the side of the house and he pulled the snake back. They came out within two or three days of the purchase. They are really nice people and took good care of my house and stuff and from that standpoint it was good. "We had water damages recently in April. After water restoration was done, we need to hire someone to repair our condo. The repairing job was not very big, but included many different works, such as drywall in both master bed room and master bath room, painting, install new cabinet in master bath room.... We have contacted many companies, some company can't meet our schedule, some company can only do drywall and painting. Some company's price was too expensive. We are very lucky to find Mr. Chu from Angle's list. He can do all these work with very reasonable price. Mr. Chu did excellent job for us! We can't even tell anything was done in the new repaired drywall. Mr. Chu not only has great skills to do so many different work, also he is a honest, reliable and hardworking person. "Our water heater needed to be replaced and this was my first Angie's List purchase.  $600 for installation including a 40-50 gallon name brand water heater plus they will take away the old one.  We initially wanted to consider a tankless water heater but the price was right and we needed this completed fairly soon as we were on borrowed time.  Just do it, right?  We did and it was completed.  I asked what brand water heater and I researched the brand with negative satisfaction results.  I was not happy but I already bought the offer.  The technician replaced our water heater with a 40 gallon AO Smith brand which was exactly the brand I wanted.  I am happy for that but he wanted an extra $250 for a permit and straps.  Shouldn't that be part of the installation?  My husband made a call to Angie's List and voila, all of the sudden, no extra fee!  But also no permit or straps.  THANK YOU, ANGIE'S LIST!  However.  Is our water heater within code without a permit and without straps?  We don't know but wedo have hot water."
