"After having R & M replace my roof in June of 2009 I came home to find some shingles missing from my roof after the latest wind storm. I contacted them at 5:40p.m. on Friday 3/14/14. Not only did they call call me back immediately  they sent someone out that night to tarp my roof to prevent further damage. They explained to me that they expected it to be covered under the manufacturers warranty and that they would get back to me after looking at the damage.
On 3/18/14 I can home and noticed the tarp was gone and my shingles had been replaced. I immediately called R&M to find that there was indeed no charge for this service as it was indeed covered under the shingle manufacturer's warranty.
I feel like I should mention again: I had not spoken to this company for over 5 years!
Thank you Thank you Thank you
Andrew N.

"Great people to work with!!!! They are very professional, they showed up when they said they would and did what they said they would do. And worked with me and my schedule. They have a very good crew work it for them, that did not just sit around, they got here and went to work and worked the hole time they were here. And they were very nice and polite and were very careful not to make a mess and kept everything picked up so my yard did not have trash everywhere. I would very highly recommend them to everyone who needs roof work done.. thank you. Cm roofing for doing a great job. Looking forward to working with you again."

"Mr. Lee Scott was very personable and punctual.  He worked with me on the replacement of those items.  He assisted in picking out the singles we wanted.  His crew worked very hard and with no incidents. His clean up was adequate.  The overall job went very smooth; however, they forgot to replace one bathroom vent pipe boot which resulted in a leak.  We have tried to contact him NUMEROUS times through email and phone.  We did get one response from him which he indicated that he would replace the vent cap but never showed up.  Again, we tried to contact him over the last two months by phone and email to no avail.  His cell phone seemed to be turned off and at a later date I left a voice mail and tried contacting him again and a message said that his voice mail was full.  We still have not resolved the issue and I will have to resolve it myself because I have incurred a slight water damage to some drywall."

FAQs for metal roofing installation and replacement projects in Calhoun, KY

Copper roofs can last 100 years or more, so you’re likely never to need another replacement. Regular maintenance, including annual inspections and occasional cleaning, keeps them in top shape. Work with a licensed roofer for any repairs or inspections to be sure the roof stays watertight and performs as expected.

Cleaning a copper roof averages $460, sealing costs an average of $3 per square foot, and broader repairs cost an average of $6,500.While those figures may seem steep compared to simple maintenance, they’re still far less than the cost of a complete replacement. Staying on top of annual cleanings and quick fixes helps keep costs down and allows the roof to reach its 100-year lifespan.

That green hue is a natural patina that forms as copper reacts with air and moisture. In coastal areas, it can appear in five to seven years; in dry regions, it may take up to 14. The patina shields the copper, so letting it develop is perfectly fine. If you prefer the shiny look, you can have a pro apply a clear sealant and recoat it as needed.

You can paint a copper roof, but it will block the natural patina and may shorten the roof’s lifespan. Once paint goes on, future upkeep becomes more involved—you’ll need to scrape and repaint every few years. Most homeowners skip painting and opt for cleaning or a clear sealant to keep the copper looking its best.

Copper holds up well in nearly every climate. In a humid region, it naturally resists fungus, moss, and algae. In snowy or windy areas, it sheds precipitation and stays firmly in place, as long as it’s installed with room to expand and contract. That flexibility helps the roof stay leak-free through temperature swings and harsh weather year after year.
