"We had a few contractors over to give us estimates. It was summer and kind of busy season so they all took a week or more to get back to us. I think EHS were among the fastest, which we appreciated and the least expensive, which we really appreciated. I mean we got one estimate to reface our existing cabinets - 1500. For 2600 or so EHS said they could replace our cabinets with new ones, build a little wall to block the view of our washer / dryer (in our kitchen), and remove some soffits that were wasting space and cramping our kitchen.
So we hired them to do that and more. For expanding the entrance way, one contractor wanted 3k. For the same price, EHS expanded the entrance way, and tiled our shower, and put in new counters and sink, and did some touch-up painting, and installed a couple of ceiling fans, and installed new locks.
Good quality, good price. Jeff and Wes and the subcontractors I met were always polite and responded to calls or messages in a reasonable amount of time. I would use EHS again.

Hickory Creek was contacted and showed up within a week as they promised, and repaired the tongue & groove ceiling. It matched up with rest that had been built in 1947. Great work! "The owner was based out of Wakulla County and I believe his son works out of Tallahassee.  The father came by right on time for his estimate and the work was performed perfectly.  There was a board that had a big knot in it that I was certain wouldn't hold up and he replaced that board promptly.  I might be off on the date within a couple of months but the work was performed in either 2009 or 2010.
