"Nicholas Carpet Care saved the day again! Our beagle stay with a pup sitter who must have fed her too many treats! Woke up to messes in THREE different rooms. Called Nicholas Carpet Care and they were able to fit me into their schedule within the week. Don cleaned up the messes and was courteous and professional. I highly recommend this fabulous company!"

"We dealt with Koeber's in the past when replacing bathroom flooring and were very pleased. Based on our experience, we turned to them to replace our existing 1,000 square feet of laminate and tile downstairs flooring. The business is relatively small family owned and dealing with them feels that way - everyone was very helpful in helping us decide which type of flooring best met our needs. We did not price shop - based on reviews and our previous experience, we chose what we felt was the best option for our work. On the negative side, the installation queue was 8 weeks out - not a problem for us but might be an issue if you had to have it done tomorrow. The installation took 4 days and they were able to float the flooring material over our existing floor with no transition required - even though we used a different pattern in our kitchen area. The installers (John/Kevin) were extremely polite, moved all of our furniture, worked around our PC so it did not need to be disconnected, and were extremely tidy. We are quite pleased with the flooring and our dealings with Koeber's. Shopping around might get you a better price but our chief criterion was quality and dependability - and we were not disappointed."

"They did great work and were very professional in all aspects of the job. They also referred us to a very helpful wholesale carpet dealer prior to the installation and we saved a lot of money as a result."

"We unfortunately had a small section of engineered hardwood flooring damaged due to a plumbing leak; less than 8 sq. ft. I contacted multiple contractors to get a quote and Sergey was the only one who responded. No one else wanted to deal with such a small repair project. He came out to review the situation and discuss the challenges of getting it right, especially since we only had a few pieces of material to work with that we saved from the original install 11 years ago. This was a very tricky, surgical repair with little room for error. Sergey arrived on time the day we agreed upon, we again discussed the risks if something went wrong, and he got to work. He removed a small section to evaluate how the pieces were glued to the concrete flooring. From there, we decided to move forward. He set up shop, was extremely organized and thoughtful to keep the area clean and dust free. The finished work is excellent! Not a single error or mishap. Sergey was professional, accommodating, and a true craftsman. I am very appreciative that he did not turn away the job given it's size and difficulty."

"DJ's Floors has done work for me before. Both experiences have been great. We rent part of our house and have had DJ's Floors install flooring in the rental space. They have been great with coordinating with our tenants and with us! The work was done very efficiently and better then expected! They repaired damaged subflooring that I wasn't aware needed to be repaired and installed quarter round moulding and stayed within my budget. The finished floors looked amazing! I know that when I hire DJ's Floors to do a job I can count on the job being done very well and within my budget. I recommend DJ's Floors to friends and I plan to continue using them for any other flooring projects we have. <br />"

"I asked for a quick and inexpensive clean to make our carpet presentable until new carpet is installed next month--and i needed it right away-- and they delivered just that. Called me back almost immediately, worked me in to their schedule quickly, good quality job, reasonable price, exactly what I asked for, nice to work with. Will call them again."

"after we picked flooring for the bathroom and paid, we were informed that the flooring was no longer available. It required another trip to the showroom and another choice. Then we waited to hear from them for 1 1/2 weeks. I called and they set an install date. The install went fine."

"I called Sean and few other companies for carpet cleaning. Sean contacted me right away! He is very prompt and came to work as scheduled. He did a quality job and gave me instructions on how to spot clean. He is very informative when you ask question on carpet care! I would hire him in a heart beat. He seemed a bit expensive but worth the price and peace of mind."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Camas, WA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
