"I also had them for regular pest control on separate contract but they seem to be increasing that quite a bit each year and I wasn't happy with that. There pest control service now is using a device that they plant on the ground, several device around your house and up the canisters, and they put in there some kind of a piece of a wood treated with an insecticide. It supposedly lures termites away from your house in canisters. They eat that wood and die. They don't actually come out and spray anymore. These little canisters are in the ground and gets there every once and a while to check and make sure to see if there are termites or if it needs to be refilled. The annual cost of that is two hundred and seventy dollars and that's after we pay an initial to set them up, and several hundred dollars to have their service. Keep an eye on the cost because we had them for the regular pest control and the initial set up costs are kind of expensive, it seems like we payed, and as I looked back, probably close to a thousand dollars for both of their services: the termite and pest control. I'm a little bit concerned for when they were doing the pesticide pest control because I felt they were kind of excessive with the chemicals and we have a lot of birds around the house, we have pets and they would often park they truck up and lay the hose and just throw at the back and basically just spray everything inside. It wasn't really healthy for our animals or the birds"

"Called them because of a squirrel problem (in my attic).  They did a thorough inspection of the roof and in the attic, found the sources of entry and quoted the work that needed to be done. (The quote is not free unless the work is authorized at that time).  The work proceeded over a period of 4 to 5 weeks. The crew assigned to this job were efficient, professional, very communicative and courteous.  Work is warranted for 2 years.  I had an issue after completion of the job (scent of a dead animal that may have been trapped by the closure of the access points).  I called them at 7:30 in the evening and there was no question about response - they were at my house the next morning before 10 am to investigate and resolve the issue. <br /> Although the job was somewhat 'pricier' than I expected, I think it was worth the investment. I was left with a very comfortable feeling of this problem being under control, and this crew being reliable and responsible in the event of any further problems. <br /> <br />"

"Brad responded quickly to my initial call. I used Angie's List reviews in my decision to call Allstar. He came out to my house the next day to investigate the scratching noises I had recently heard in the ceiling and wall spaces. After inspecting the attic and the crawl space under the house, Brad quickly determined that it was rats (and possibly mice). He asked me relevant questions about sights, sounds, and smells I may have experienced and helped me understand the behavior of rodents. My house is small, yet he spent an hour and a half with me walking around my house (inside and outside) and pointing out small places of entry on the outside for rodents to enter the attic and crawlspace. Brad answered all of my numerous questions and provided a fair estimate of the cost for rat traps, removal, and closure of all entry points during the initial visit/consultation. He followed up the next day with an e-mailed quote of the work to be performed with a one-year warranty on repairs for rat re-entry. I was very impressed by Brad's level of professionalism and knowledge, as well as his patience with someone who was very freaked out about having rodents hanging out in her attic and crawlspace. He returned the next day, set three traps in the attic and three in the crawlspace. A few hours later, a fat rat set off a trap in the attic - a very loud, 30-second drama. I immediately texted him to let him know (about 7pm), he responded by text, and returned the next day to remove the remains of a stupid, fat rat. (He looked fat when Brad showed it to me.)  A few days later, the fat rat's accomplice was captured and killed in the crawlspace. Brad and his assistant re-baited and left the traps a few more days, and began the repair work to close off entry points. They also did some additional work to prevent bats in the gable vents. And Brad also volunteered to do a few extra things for me like changing flood lights that were extremely high on my house. He left the traps three more days to be certain all of the rodents had been captured. I highly recommended Allstar, and would definitely use them again for their services. <br />"
