"Our purple carpet had about 100 urine stains from previous dogs and our own. The specialist, Robert, matched to color and treated every spot. If we didn't know where they were, we'd never know they spots had been there. Perfect job!"

"I have hired Brian Feurer of Foyer Home Remodeling on at least three separate occasions.  The most recent was in Nov of 2011.  The first time was i think back in 2005 for a complete basement remodel. It was the typical unfinished basement that was also part of the garage.  Brian designed our layout and had print outs from a software package that gave us an idea of what the project would end up looking like.  Out of three bids, his was in the middle of the price range.  We chose Brian because he gave us more details up front and seemed better organized.    I had Brian finish half the floor space (Around a 1000 square feet or so).  He did everything from plumbing for our full bathroom addition, all the electrical wiring, studding out the walls, insulation, sheet rock, and painting.  He brought in a licensed electrician to add another panel and hook his wiring into the electrical power.  He built a full bathroom, office space, exercise area, and a large media room for us.  <br /> <br /> Overall I am very pleased with Brian and have used him several times since then.  I've had him build us custom cabinets for one of our bedrooms, repair sheetrock damage in other parts of the house, install huge storage shelves in our garage, fix our garage doors, and such.  I have a deck in mind that I want to install when the budget allows and will hire him for that as well.  Brian does the job well, I like the quality of his work."

"Mike is great. He inspected a different home for us a few weeks ago & found a lot of serious things we never would have known about. He was honest & gave us the names of a few business that we could check with for quotes. We actually walked away from that home but he just inspected a new one for us today. After following him around during the first inspection, watching his work & asking him a million questions, we were confident in him to do the inspection alone today. He is very personable, very nice, works you get you in his schedule within a few days when possible. We went with Mike Copeland based on friends recommendation & I can totally see why. Will recommend him to everyone. <br />"

"Mr Arnold showed up on time and very professional, gave me a free estimate, and then since i needed it asap, he went to home depot and purchased the heater, and all the supplies. He returned and removed the old  heater, and installed the new one and all accessories, this took him about 2 hrs to do. Mr Arnold was very kind and cleaned any mess he had made and took all the materials with him when he left. I had called him and he was very flexible with my work schedule and the emergency i was in as well. <br />"

"The first problem was that the materials had not arrived by the date scheduled, so we had to delay nearly a week, despite my having pre-planned and pre-scheduled to avoid this by planning well in advance. (This was not a job that was rushed with installation following quickly right after purchase. It was a couple months after purchase.)   Once the work was started, the crew that did the tile and laminate did a very nice job. The carpet crew seemed to really rush to get it all done in a day; I had to have several areas fixed afterwards that were poorly done. The biggest gripe I have is that there was no communication between the various crews, so there was no one but me to keep calling and nagging the central office; this was necessary because they did not have the right materials for the transition areas where tile met carpet, or laminate met carpet, etc.  No one seemed to be responsible for that.  If I had not kept dogging the office, these areas would not ever have been finished.  Likewise, the sales person didn't tell the kitchen tile installer that they were to re-use old quarter round trim (I don't know why...) so they tore it out, and then it required another visit to fix it. I had to call repeatedly to try to find out when someone could take care of these areas. It was maddening.  All in all, the tile and laminate came out looking great and that team did a very nice job.  The carpet is OK, but the overall process as a whole was chaotic. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Cameron, MO

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
