"I brought in 2 antique Persian rugs for cleaning that have been in my family for decades. Moojan's (the owner) expertise of the rugs and how to clean and care for them was exactly what I was looking for. I was very satisfied with the results and will be returning to him for future rug needs. He is the best in the DMV area."

"The guys who came to do the work were nice and friendly. They arrived in the window I was told and got to work. I thought the price was fair and they did a good job getting a lot of the stains out. It was sometime since I had the carpets cleaned. There were a bunch of spots and my second floor carpets were pretty dirty from having major renovations on my third floor. My unhappiness with the service and the job that was performed is with the perimeters of the carpet. They really did a lousy job on the edges where the carpet meets the baseboard / walls. Their machines couldn’t get to the edge and you could visibly see where the machine stopped. I was told the machine they use doesn’t go to the wall. I don’t understand that and feel the job was half done. They should have the proper equipment to clean carpets up to the baseboards. It stopped 3-4 inches from the wall and looked horrible. I spent an entire evening with a little carpet cleaner going over all edges to clean what they couldn’t and still have one room and staircase left to do. I am very disappointed in the job that was done and can’t recommend their service. It seemed to me it was rushed and no time was spent on details. They also didn’t bother opening closet doors to clean a little inside the closet. So I have to say there is no attention to details. I admit the carpets were really dirty and what they cleaned they did well but what they didn’t clean stuck out like a sore thumb. I expect the entire carpet to be cleaned as best that can be done and that did not happen with this company."

"They were great. Starting with our consultant, Kathy Lutz, it was a pleasure to deal with Allwein. Kathy was patient and knowledgeable. The installers were punctual and professional."

"They provided us with an estimate quickly, and the price was very reasonable. They installed the carpets and the dining room floor in a timeframe that worked with our schedule. Great communication every step of the way, and their quality of work is top-notch. We have already hired them for an additional project, new floors in our basement. Awesome company, we would highly recommend World Flooring to anyone in Central PA who needs carpet or laminate floors."

"They picked my carpet up on 6/19/14 and it will be brought back this week.  They have cleaned carpets for me in the past so there is no reason for me to think that there will be any problems this time. <br />"

"Project was completed within the agreed upon schedule without issue. A couple areas where we requested some rework were corrected to our complete satisfaction, again without issue. Very professional sale and install."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Camp Hill, PA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
