Small jobs welcome

"Everything was great. Everyone I worked with was professional and knowledgeable and friendly. The two man crew that came to my house. Can’t remember there names now. But they were awesome. Showed up on time. We all had a little tailgate meeting. And man they were off and running. Very impressed. They also were very professional, knowledgeable. And friendly. Thank you Greg"

"This team arrived for work in the morning, and was complete by lunch. Outside wall repairs on MidCentury Modern, and full assessment to bring house up to modern seismic codes. Great feedback to close out, plus a solid warranty. These folks specialize in crawl space homes and keeping them solid."

"I got estimates from three roofing contractors to fix three leaks on my Spanish tile roof. Two of the roofing contractors gave me high estimates to replace very large areas of the roof covering the leaks. Only one of the contractors, John Fieldler, gave me an estimate to replace sufficient areas of roofing to stop the leaks and he also spent extra effort to inspect and replace all broken tiles over the entire roof - something the other contractors failed to include. John,s estimate was a lot lower than the others and I got excellent service and quality."

"Fantastic!!! I cannot speak highly enough of the guys and gals at Berkley Construction. After dealing with some, we'll say, less than competent construction companies, these guys were a god send. Organized, communicative and so easy to deal with right from the start, they made every step of the process so much easier and more smooth than it could have been otherwise. You should at the very least include them in your bid gathering, as I think they will blow you away with their competence, something that is sadly rare in this field."

"We recently completed a second floor deck project on our home in Encinitas which included a full solid waterproof deck replacement, TimberTech, railing and other improvements. This project was made more challenging given the age of the home and state of some of the materials based on where we live closer to the ocean. Rob, Adam and team were incredible every step of the way, including communication and professionalism. They were able to work around challenges, come up with cost effective and creative solutions and generally keep us informed about the various parts of the projects as we moved along. They took extra measures to keep the working area clean during the entirety of the project. I would definitely hire this company for any future improvements to our home. Thanks guys!"

FAQs for foundation, basement or crawlspace waterproofing / encapsulation projects in Camp Pendleton, CA

The most affordable way to waterproof your basement is with interior methods like waterproof paint, costing between $1 and $8 per square foot, or silicate concrete sealers priced at $4 to $6 per square foot. However, these solutions are only suitable for certain issues. If your basement moisture is due to more serious problems like a cracked foundation, you'll need more extensive (and costly) repairs.

Absolutely! Waterproofing your basement is a smart investment that can increase your home's value. By keeping your basement dry and free of moisture problems, you protect your home's structural integrity and make it more appealing to potential buyers. Plus, taking proactive measures now can prevent costly water damage repairs down the line.

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the selected method. Some approaches to interior waterproofing, like paint or sealant, can be completed within a day. Installing new drains or weeping tiles will need at least two to three days of labor. Any forms of exterior waterproofing that require you to excavate land will require an additional three days of work to prepare the ground.

Yes, basement waterproofing can significantly increase your home's value. A dry, leak-free basement is a strong selling point for potential buyers, enhancing your property's desirability and market price. Investing in professional waterproofing not only protects your home's structural integrity but also ensures a healthier living environment by preventing mold and mildew growth.

Waterproofing both the interior and exterior of your basement offers the best protection against moisture. Exterior waterproofing stops water from penetrating your foundation, while interior methods manage any moisture that does enter. If you must choose one, exterior waterproofing is generally more effective, as it prevents water from reaching your home's interior in the first place.
