"Level 5 arrived within the time window provided and quickly began to go to work.  Within minutes Chris realized that he did not have any materials to provide a dust barrier while they did their work (apparently the materials were somewhere else, and drywall work is very dusty).  I was able to provide him with some plastic to use and they draped the door to the bathroom.
The work on drywall appeared to proceed quickly with Chris and his son bringing in drywall and putting it up on the walls.  As this is a bathroom that is split between new and old construction and includes wall stud placement from previous but now removed windows, the placement of studs are not ideal for drywall installation.
As I observed their work, it became clear that Level 5 had forgotten more than just plastic to serve as a dust barrier.  They were also walking up and down my tiled porch and interior hardwood floors without any coverings on the porch or floor.  I had to pull my oriental rug out of the entry way because they were tracking drywall dust on it every time they walked the door.  I did not have any re-course on the hardwood floors in the hallway other than sending them home, so I hoped for the best when clean up came.
Interestingly enough, my tile contractor arrived while Chris and team were working, and was appalled by the lack of floor protection that Level 5 had provided.  He thought it was completely unprofessional and that Level 5's action were damaging both the tile porch and definitely the hardwood floor.  The dust materials are abrasive, and do damage hardwood floor finishes.
The recessed ceiling cans for the LED lights were filled not to the outside of the cans, but inside to the LED lights. I will have to clean out all the drywall mud so that the LED lights can move up/down to attached to their bezels.  Perhaps they are not familiar with these new types of lights, but it should have been obvious that filling inside the can is not proper technique.
At the end of the day, the crew did some cleanup.  They pulled out a broom and swept the bathroom and hallway, and washed down the porch.  And collected their check and left.  Their cleanup was very superficial...they did not have the equipment to do it right and I resigned myself to cleaning up after they left.  What I did not see initially was how much work that meant. Not only did we have to clean the floor multiple times (vacuum, dry mop, wet mop twice) to get the drywall dust out, but their use of the 'dust barrier' was such that it was not much of a barrier at all.  We had dust throughout the house, and needed to dust all of the first floor counter-tops and furniture and clean all the floors.  Overall, we spent more than 5 hours cleaning up for 7 hours of Level 5's work.
While I appreciate Level 5's responsiveness to my quote request and getting to my job quickly, I can't recommend them for anyone doing a remodel within an existing house.  Their hygiene practices are possibly appropriate for new construction and maybe a garage, but I would not let them into my house again.   And I would not hire them to do my garage because I think their rates are too high for 'garage' work.
By the way, my tile contractor had his crew in my house today...no worries or clean up on my part.  That is what I would expect, and I think that is a reasonable expectation."

"Needed stucco repair along one side of my house. Contacted company in
July. Set a date for work in early August. Repairs delayed by mutual
agreement of homeowner and contractor. Tried to re-set new work date but
found contractor's phone disconnected. Finally received follow-up call a
few days later. Set new date.  Contractor came and began work with a quoted price of $530.00. After removing stucco along most of the side of the house, was told that stucco was bad. Work was completed in one (7) hours session and another (2) session the following day. Contractor late arriving each time. Had to leave job site to acquire materials. work was completed to home owner satisfaction. However the final price was $220.00 higher that original bid.

"Give these guys a B+, never received a written estimate for the work to be done. Nor was I provided a receipt when the work was completed. The two man crew did a good job in painting the areas I needed done, did two coats and completed in the time that was stated. Left remaining paint so I could do any touch-ups, which I needed to touch up the stairs. I would hire them again when we paint the rest of the house."

"I purchased a "deal" -4 hours of dry wall labor for $99. Having no idea how much dry wall can be fixed/replaced in 4 hours or what materials were needed, I requested that someone come out and let me know if what was needed (time and materials) to complete the job I had. The Just Do It office said no problem and I scheduled an appointment. The worker arrived on time but was not aware that he was only to provide an estimate. He was under the assumption that he was to do the work -- this was a subcontractor Just Do It uses in my area. It took about 20 minutes to clear up the miscommunication and the office explaining what is included in the "deal" and what isn't before the workman gave me  the estimates I asked for.
I scheduled another appointment to have the work done. In the meantime, I purchased the materials -- I didn't want someone who was skilled in fixing drywall to spend "labor time" going to and from Home Depot and then run out of time doing the actual work. The work was done well and mess was cleaned up.
So after a somewhat rocky start, I would use this company again. I would, however, suggest that the Just Do It scheduling office realize that some of us don't know the nuances of their business and work involved/allowed for jobs and to have a little more patience explaining why work requested is/is not a part of a deal.

"This is a several week process which starts with the paper and lath person coming out for several days to prepare the house for the stucco. Then the stucco crew  applies the stucco and takes two days. This has to stand for at least 3 weeks. During that time, the old stucco which was painted has to be sandblasted and the neighbors have to be warned. After the 3 weeks the color coat and texture are applied. Each step has to be scheduled separately and actually worked well for us because we had other construction crews doing various other jobs on our house at the same time.
Throughout this process Robert, owner of the company was in constant contact with us. He is professional and highly responsible. He returns phone calls right away and answers any questions or concerns immediately. When working with him to plan the stucco it was really a pleasure. He worked for solutions to the problem of our 50 year old house (with many exterior issues) to find the best and most reasonable solutions based on what we told him we wanted.  We had new construction windows and doors with new jambs installed instead of the retrofit kind which meant we had removed at least 1 foot of stucco around 4 doors and 3 windows and in some places even more stucco due to replacing rotten bathroom walls, etc.
When Robert's crew was available he would call a day or two ahead and tell us when they would be there. They showed up on time. When the whole process was over, they cleaned up. During the sandblasting they covered our windows and doors and also the next door neighbors' on both sides and cleaned up after wards. The neighbors were also impressed.
Robert also has a set contract whereby you pay each step of the way after the process is completed as most contractors and home owners should insist on and don't always do.  We had 4 estimates and La Mesa Stucco was  the most responsive and realistic and included exactly what we had asked for.
End result is our house looks beautiful and really better than we ever could have hoped. You can not tell where the old stucco ends and the new stucco starts.  We strongly recommend La Mesa Stucco for all stucco needs.

"He did a very good job, very clean. They were perfect, could not be any better. Dave and his brother were great. They do quality work, they keep the work area clean, they dispose of their own paint. They don't clean any of the brushes or equipment at your house, they take it away with them. That is very important because they are not destroying your grass by washing out their equipment at your house."

"Everything was fine until they re-installed the lights on the outside of our garage.  The painter said , after examining the situation that there was a problem with the wiring.  I hired an electrician (for $75 and hour) and he found that the light bulbs were no good)  Now, i contacted them on the 8th of June and it took them 2 weeks to respond.  They said it would take awhile to schedule and didn't offer how long it would take, then I noticed a small defect in the finish and contacted them about that, they said it might be a few weeks before they could schedule a man to come out to repair that as they were in the middle of  couple of jobs and would contact me as soon as there was an opening.   After 5 weeks  I finally called them a insisted they do the repair ASAP and after another week they finally had  a man come and do the repair.  The man was very  polite and took genuine interested in my concern and completed the repair that day.  I was satisfied very with the work.  Mr Montoya, the owner contacted me personally, apologized and informed me that the person responsible for the scheduling was fairly new, unfamiliar with their responsibilities and would receive additional training so that this occurrence should not happen again.  He also reimbursed for the electricians fee.  As a result I have re-evaluated my assessment of his services and yes, I would hire him again.   "
