"Everything went perfectly. Edgar showed up right on time. Actually, 15 minutes early. He came with bright lights to see under the sink. He diagnosed the problem within minutes and showed me exactly where the leak was. Then he told me he could fix it right then and there, which I wasn't even expecting. We agreed on the price. I asked him how long it would take, and he told me around 20 minutes, and he had the materials with him. He went down to his truck, came right back with the materials, went right to work, and less than half an hour later, he told me to come see it was finished. He turned the water on and..... no leak!! All fixed. Afterwards, he collected the old materials and took them away. We tested it once again and...no leak!!! Perfect. Why aren't all contractors like this? Additionally, Edgar was friendly, super competent, and efficient. I don't know why anyone would choose another vendor for plumbing. I'd give 10 stars, but only 5 were allowed."

"The gentleman called to let me know he was on his way as requested and arrived on-time to perform the A/C tune-up.  He was very cordial and respectful of my home, as well as mindful of not letting my cats and dogs out, as there was a need for him to come in and out of the house to perform testing and complete the tune-up process.
The technician was not aware that I had a tune-up done the month before using another provider and was still having issues with my unit.  He found and resolved ALL of the issues the previous vendor had not, resolving my unit having condensation on the exterior and leaking water from the bottom.  He reported that the drip pan was clogged, so he cleaned it and installed the proper outlet for the water from the A/C unit.  He also confirmed that the unit needed refrigerant and replaced the refrigerant.
The tune-up special I purchased included 2lbs of refrigerant, however the type of refrigerant I needed was not covered.  He explained that older units used a very expensive refrigerant that was being phased out.  The additional expense was not expected, however I had been quoted almost double the cost by the previous vendor.  The technician was very professional, explained the work that was done and provided his professional opinion concerning the life expectancy of the unit.  I had a comfort level with him, his knowledge and would definitely utilize their services in the future.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
