"Paul responded quickly to my home with an assessment and quote to fix vertical hairline cracks in my concrete block foundation (100 years old). He provided the same information that I got from another mason (similar quote) and a structural engineer (phone consultation). I do that for every contractor. Work started on time and was done thoroughly and very well. They also reinforced two corners with GI mesh and high strength structural repair mortar. Everything was cleaned up when they were done. My basement is in good shape and I just wanted to make the CORRECT repairs, not just slap some cement over it then hide with Drylock. I'm confident in the work that was done and that it'll last another 100 years. Paul is obviously very proud of his work and I really appreciate that. I have to add that I did water diversion on the outside (downspouts and grading) in order to prevent water from getting to the foundation. My old downspouts led underground to a drain to the city system. They were obviously compromised, so capping and extended downspouts were a must. I feel souch better now! Thank you Paul!"

"This was a very involved plaster repair and remediation job, in a very old house. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field.  From my first experience with the office manager, my initial meeting with the president of the company, Eric Leach(who is a very hands on leader), to the last of the work being completed, everyone was professional, hard working, respectful, friendly, courteous and polite.

The first time Eric came to meet me he gave me an information packet about the company. I was very impressed by that and very much liked the fact that Midstate is a local company.

Before I agreed to have  the work done, Eric was very helpful in answering all of my questions. We communicated via phone and e mails. He was always very prompt in getting back to me with an answer to my questions.

The work took two days to complete. I found the men who were here to have all of the qualities that I stated above. They would keep me informed as to what was happening in the work process. They arrived on time, worked very hard and before they left (after putting in long hours) cleaned everything up. I am amazed at how clean the area where the small cement mixer had been is.

After the job was completed I had one small thing I wanted adjusted and the next day, after contacting Eric, it was taken care of.

Before this job was done, in my Bilco door area, every time it rained water came in through the walls and floors. Since the work was completed it has rained and the area is DRY!!!!
