"I needed stucco repair work on an old chimney (and other spots). Grady was meticulous and thoughtful on what approaches and materials would work. Throughout the project they allocated sufficient time for each treatment to cure and inspected the work before proceeding to the next step. Grady started the project with no money down and only required ongoing payments for materials until the project was well underway. The final payment was due only after they did a final inspection. Total project cost was also below other bids."

"Bought a house in June 20015. Could tell there was some kind of water problem in basement but was clueless on the general subject. Picked Tim Case and his ABS Foundations company after doing the Angie's List and interview bit. The other companies wanted to waterproof the walls and had expensive solutions. Tim said, "Yes, you should be prepared for that possibility but let's start smaller and see if that works first." So he put in a better sump pump (the old one was rather corroded looking) and cover, and installed a heavy duty dehumidifier in the basement. He also put in window wells and under ground extensions on the downspouts as I didn't want the extensions on top. He wouldn't put top soil in to regrade the yard as it was going to be too late to grow grass (October) but strongly suggested I have it done the next spring by someone. His workers were all very respectful toward me, answered my questions, and did hard labor getting those window wells and extensions installed. Result: Big difference in the moisture in house on a daily basis. I no longer wondered if I had purchased a sauna. I also didn't have a huge pool of water in the crawl space during spring melt or heavy rains. I did, however, still have some water. See 2017 review for end of story."

"Unique requirement--lifting of furnace (in heating season) as part of the project. Worked with my furnace man to do this. Old concrete was jack hammered out and dirt removed to make room for stones. Added stones, vapor barrier and rebar to connect it with rest of floor, then poured concrete. Had to remove basement window to fit trough into basement. Readymix was delivered and wheeled into basement room where it was used. Concrete was worked and smoothed and he left no bubbles or voids. Also did extra job of power-chipping out edge of existing basement floor (to seal out minor groundwater leakage during heavy thunderstorm) and sealing it with hydraulic cement. Excellent work ethic. Good knowledge of materials. Good attention to meeting and exceeding my customer requirements."

"We love our stamped concrete patio. This patio is a big improvement over the soggy grassy area that had been there before. We couldn't use the space much except in the summer because it was so soggy and now we enjoy the space almost all year long. We called Adam based on a recommendation from our neighbor and he came out to give us an estimate. I enjoyed working with Adam and he gave us a solid recommendation on the material to use for the patio and the final size that we ended up getting installed. We originally asked him to estimate for a shorter patio but after listening to what we thought we'd use the patio for, he suggested the wider patio. I'm happy with the larger size and we certainly use it all. The patio install went well and we were happy with the end result. Adam and his crew worked hard and were very professional. When the job was done, he cleaned up the site, sealed the patio, and took some time to explain future maintenance. Adam also gave us some suggestions for future sidewalk and front porch cement work and we'll definitely call him in the future when we're ready to do that."

"The crew from Armstrong Waterproofing did a fantastic job of fixing our drainage problem. They were punctual and on time every day and even worked later that would be expected to get to a good stopping point each day. They were very careful not to damage any electric and water lines coming into the house during the excavation process. They excavated the ground to the footers on the outside of the basement wall, cleaned and applied waterproofing, and installed drain pipe both for a footer drain and for any downspouts. We have already noticed a big difference in our basement wall, even with the excessive rain this week. They offered sensible options for fixing our problem at a reasonable cost. We would highly recommend Armstrong Waterproofing."

"I have used Eric (A & F Construction) for many years and covering many different projects. These have included roofing, siding, gutters, storm doors, window replacements, trim and the like outdoors, and small electrical and plumbing projects, sheetrocking, flooring, and general renovations indoors. As with this project, he is always reasonably priced, honest, very capable, fast (once he gets free to start the job!), and VERY finicky about the quality of the finished project. More importantly, he always makes certain to understand what I want out of the project, and this sometimes involves unusual or custom installations (such as sealing the gaps in the decking for this project, modifying the handrails to fit existing construction, and cutting full-length columns in half to match what was there in the past). I wish I could include pictures to show how good the porch looks! Will I hire A& F again? In a heartbeat if Eric will have me!"
