"I would hire again, want to say that first. But I tend to review throughly and frankly. The project took longer to both get started and to complete than quoted. The start date was apparently complicated by things beyond control, but that wasn’t helpful to my situation. Jason had no problem getting me the brand of shingle I wanted. Clean up was ok and plant protection was ok, perhaps a balance- I am still picking things up, but would rather do that than have more plantings stomped. That is a communication thing, I feel. I called them back for a rotting eave, that they repaired at no additional charge. I appreciated that, but I understood that they would look for and repair any problems they found. I got the impression that they felt it was not really part of the roof, and I understand both opinions. The crew was courteous and friendly, the roof is beautiful and does not leak and I would hire again."

During bidding, Aylwin representatives patiently answered questions and revisited the property several times to clarify issues. An amended bid was prepared to respond to developing information. After contract signing on a Monday we asked that our job be done in June as we were very flexible. On Tuesday they called, offering us a start on that Wednesday! From contract signing to completion took 4 days! That was astounding. Our house was easy so the job could fit among more complicated work. Bradley's crew of 7 to 9 members did all the tear off, plywood repairs and new underlayment in one day; all shingles and venting in day two. "Errors in the original estimate and following procedures kept raising the cost even when we got bigger and bigger discounts. Rafter work needed to be done and we knew we upfront we may incur extra costs so we gave the go-ahead to fix that--what else were we going to do at that point. The additional work seemed incredibly excessive. When questioned, the salesperson explains there was a set fee per square which included removal of two layers of old shingles, removal, and replacement of sheathing for the entire roof. For the additional rafter work, they were charging the per square rate which we had already paid for...they were charging us for removing and replacing twice. The rafters were exposed and required only the additional rafter work. We were livid. They sent out someone else to negotiate and we still paid more for the extra work than we wanted. I believe the actual work performed was good."
