"I seldom leave any reviews but this is one of the best contractors we have ever dealt with thus far! To start, their pricing is quite competitive. Secondly, I feel they probably have some of the best professionals in this industry. Communications with the sales person Javier is an enjoyment. He is honest, super responsive, polite, patient, and immensely professional. You won’t feel any pressure dealing with him. I have tons of questions given this is our 1st time dealing with a leaking basement. Javier was able to address all my questions in a most clear and timely manner - for a few times we were exchanging phone calls and text over the weekend! Thirdly, their crew on the ground (Brett is the foreman) are some of the most excellent contractors I have ever worked with. Brett gave me a call 45 minutes before arrival and they are extremely punctual. He walked me through what they are going to do before the work began and Updated me at times when I checked things up. In order to do the work they would have to uninstall some parts of my finished wall which I had originally believed would have to be completely restored anyway later. What’s beyond expectation is that Brett did the wall uninstallation in such a delicate and thoughtful way as he has hope that we may reuse the materials as much as possible! Also some of the working areas are very challenging to get in but the guys worked hard and got the work done nicely.! When the job is finished, they cleaned up all the working areas and Completely remove all the debris and dirts. My basement was left totally neat and tidy! Brett then walked me through the finished work and patiently answered all the questions I have. It’s a true pleasure working with Brett who is super nice, respectful and knowledgeable on what he is doing! The project is just done so I haven’t seen how it works but they have a life time warranty. Based on my experience so far, I would rate Quality 1st 6 Star if I could and would have nil hesitation to recommend them to anyone that needs a basement waterproof work!"

"In January of this year, my wife and I decided we needed to transform our finished basement to an inhabitable living area. That would require adding a bathroom and an egress window for â emergency escapeâ . We hired a contractor for the bathroom and began the research on egress windows. As we were anxious to move ahead ASAP, I began contacting companies that installed egress windows. We had a couple of reps come out, look at our basement, discuss the process and quote prices. Estimates ranged from $8000 to $12000. Most had 2 things in common. 1} They could not schedule the job until somewhere in May or June as â windowsâ wouldnâ t be available until then. 2) Any â finishingâ work (necessary sheet rock and trim) would be extra as they did not do that. In March, I happened upon a copy of a regional advertising magazine (Clipper) which came in our mail. In it was an advertisement for â Basement Gurusâ . Since we still hadnâ t made a commitment for the work, I gave them a call. After discussing the job with them, I came to conclusion to go with â Basement Gurusâ . There were five reasons why I made this decision. 1) It appeared to me, based on reviews, the company had a good reputation. 2) The fact that they had windows in stock. This would move job completion date up significantly over what I had been told by at least three other companies. 3) The price. 4) Excavation would be done manually eliminating the possibility of damage to my neighborâ s lawn. 5) Sheetrock and finishing included. Our egress window project (install/follow up sheetrock/trim) was completed on time. Three workers came to our home for the install. They completed the window in three days. Very efficient, professional. Our township inspector came out a few days later and said â all looked goodâ . Also, John the sheetrock/trim person told me he had done a number of egress finishes. He said this one, as opposed to some heâ d seen, looked really good. The sheetrock and trim was completed in one day. An egress window is a big job. They make alterations to your homeâ s foundation! All in all, Basement Gurus did an awesome job! We now have a really nice â livableâ basement adding significant value to our home. Basement Gurus gets my full recommendation! "We had 2 foundation cracks running from corner of basement window to the floor. Their recommendation was not to just fill in the cracks, as others suggested, but to also reinforce the structural integrity of the foundation with a solid steel plate bolted over the repaired crack. That approach made much more sense to me than the other recommendations I'd received. I hired them and they were onsite within 2 days and completed all work in a single day. We've since had excessive rain and the repairs have held up and the basement is still dry."

"mr laisi responded quickly on line, and actually called me back. i did not use him because the man that was supposed to do the job for my neighbor showed up - (2 days late). he was removing the snow as i was trying to get some help on line. i would recommend mr laisi just based on his promptness and speaking to him on the phone. i'm sure he does a good job also. i will contact him again (for myself) for snow removal and will keep him in mind for any other project in his area of expertise. thank you."

"Requested quote on putting in concrete porch. Received a quote and they started the work the very next day! The Forman was very detailed, in the work the workers were doing. They did an excellent job! What really impressed me too, a young lady in front of the house had a flat tire, the Forman stopped his work, and asked her if he could assist her. You don’t see that often now days Would recommend Basement Gurus for sure!!"

"The water issue was in a small unfinished corner of the basement after a very heavy rain and only once since we moved in without mold issues- but I decided to get French drains and mold treatment done anyways for the entire basement. Bob gave me a good estimate and then tried matching the lowest estimate I had gotten (his was the second lowest but I decided to go with him). The installation work went smoothly (planning to get the basement refinished soon from one of his contractors who was there for the job so he knows where everything goes back) . Bob Steck was very responsive, funny and thorough. Their team was very professional. Did the work just as promised - no issues with dust and dirt during and after the job). They started and finished on time ( took 2-days). The concrete is almost completely dry and have had one heavy rain so far- we are Very impressed by their work. Highly recommended."

"He was prompt, professional and very courteous. We have a newborn, so dealing with a leak was not something I could handle right now. I don't have a ton of experience with chimney repair so the price seemed on the high end of reasonable, but he was responsive on the first day and came to do the repair as soon as weather permitted. We just had our first rain since the repair and everything stayed very dry. Well worth any additional expense."

"I hired Aztec for major repairs due to termite damage. They were prompt, professional, and easy to work with. They came in less than 10 days after we contacted them to FINISH the work. First, they evaluated the damage and walked me through the needed repairs which included placing three new steel support beams along with two main horizontal wood beams and several sistered beams. They were able to complete the work, once they started, in three days. At each step, I was informed of progress and there were no surprises (from my end). The work included everything from removing electrical wiring and then replacing it, pouring the new steel vertical support beams, affixing them solidly into my concrete floor, and then pacing the numerous horizontal beams. I could not recommend AZtec (and Greg!) more."
