"This was a great breath of fresh air! Truly wonderful. Dan was incredible. He checked everything thoroughly, every crack was inspected and every concern was addressed. He was professional, friendly and knew what he was doing. He didn't try to sell us anything that we didn't need. He gave us a list of items we could do to make the space more waterproof, like caulking around the bottom of our double doors. He also suggested that we keep an eye on the cracks and take photos to document if the cracks spread. He was happy to hear that we were very happy with his inspection. This was the best free estimate we've ever received. He didn't try to sell us anything. He mentioned that they had a dehumidifier that is also an air purifier and would likely help with my allergies. So, if the other dehumidifier ever breaks, I know where I'm headed to buy a new one! Dan is part of a company that is extremely professional. They sent out a letter prior to our appointment to introduce Dan to us. It had his photo, a bio and even listed his family member's names. I felt like I knew him even before he showed up. This is a great way to do business. They even sent a book on basements that went into great detail about what could go wrong and how they can fix it. I enjoyed reading the book. I learned more about basements than I ever thought possible. I can't recommend them enough. If you ever have a basement water issue - CALL DAN at BQ Basement Systems! He'll provide you with the facts, truth and nothing less, or in my case nothing more!"

"In January of this year, my wife and I decided we needed to transform our finished basement to an inhabitable living area. That would require adding a bathroom and an egress window for â emergency escapeâ . We hired a contractor for the bathroom and began the research on egress windows. As we were anxious to move ahead ASAP, I began contacting companies that installed egress windows. We had a couple of reps come out, look at our basement, discuss the process and quote prices. Estimates ranged from $8000 to $12000. Most had 2 things in common. 1} They could not schedule the job until somewhere in May or June as â windowsâ wouldnâ t be available until then. 2) Any â finishingâ work (necessary sheet rock and trim) would be extra as they did not do that. In March, I happened upon a copy of a regional advertising magazine (Clipper) which came in our mail. In it was an advertisement for â Basement Gurusâ . Since we still hadnâ t made a commitment for the work, I gave them a call. After discussing the job with them, I came to conclusion to go with â Basement Gurusâ . There were five reasons why I made this decision. 1) It appeared to me, based on reviews, the company had a good reputation. 2) The fact that they had windows in stock. This would move job completion date up significantly over what I had been told by at least three other companies. 3) The price. 4) Excavation would be done manually eliminating the possibility of damage to my neighborâ s lawn. 5) Sheetrock and finishing included. Our egress window project (install/follow up sheetrock/trim) was completed on time. Three workers came to our home for the install. They completed the window in three days. Very efficient, professional. Our township inspector came out a few days later and said â all looked goodâ . Also, John the sheetrock/trim person told me he had done a number of egress finishes. He said this one, as opposed to some heâ d seen, looked really good. The sheetrock and trim was completed in one day. An egress window is a big job. They make alterations to your homeâ s foundation! All in all, Basement Gurus did an awesome job! We now have a really nice â livableâ basement adding significant value to our home. Basement Gurus gets my full recommendation! "I have hired Quality 1st Basement Systems twice now and have been thrilled by their professionalism and work. The crew lead both times was Wilbur and the system design specialist was Mike Fiorillo. What I particularly appreciated about the sales process was how Mike worked with me to balance cost and efficacy. Regardless of what you decide to do, I would recommend at least getting a bid from Quality 1st. Additionally, on the day of installation, Mike arrived to help communicate the plan with Wilbur (crew lead) because of the complex nature of my foundational repair. Note: in between the 1st and 2nd job I had a structural engineer review my home and he specifically commented that he approved of the work done by Wilbur and his crew at Quality 1st. He noted that all other work previously done by the former home owners had serious flaws."

"This is a little late, but Ron and his guys did a Great job at residence! My old pool collapsed(wood type) and had a new one installed. The pool company didn't do the concrete work and I saw my buddy Bill C was having work done by him. I called him up he came out and gave me a great estimate to fill right up to the pool. He and his guys were outstanding. They took care not to cause any issues with the new liner and the water that was filled in the pool. I highly recommend Ron and his guys for any concrete work. (Work was done in 2017. I wish I saw this back then do I could have added to the exemplary work he and his guys did at my house!). Thanks to Ron & all his workers!"

"Basements Love Us was very professional from they time they came out to provide an estimate to they time they completed the job.  I was able to have them come out for an estimate on a Saturday, and begin on Thursday... less than a week!  Paul was very helpful throughout the process, and provided a great level of explanation to ensure I was comfortable with the work. <br>They did a very fast and neat job, and didn't make any mess, even while shoveling out dirt from my crawl space.  I can already notice a difference in the humidity of my basement after they installed the vapor barrier.  I would absolutely recommend them to anyone requiring crawl space / basement foundation repair. <br> <br> <br>"

"He was prompt, professional and very courteous. We have a newborn, so dealing with a leak was not something I could handle right now. I don't have a ton of experience with chimney repair so the price seemed on the high end of reasonable, but he was responsive on the first day and came to do the repair as soon as weather permitted. We just had our first rain since the repair and everything stayed very dry. Well worth any additional expense."

FAQs for concrete foundation repair projects in Cape May Court House, NJ

Visible cracks, water leaks, uneven floors, or walls that won’t line up are classic red flags. You might also notice sticking windows, doors that no longer latch, or exterior cracks crawling up brick or siding. Even a damp, musty basement can hint at trouble. If you spot any of these, call a foundation pro right away. Early inspections cost far less than waiting until the damage threatens your home’s stability.

Yes, foundation problems impact your home’s value. Buyers want proof that the foundation is stable, and a recent, professional repair can actually boost confidence in your home. You’ll need to disclose the work, but documentation showing the structure was properly stabilized, especially with piers in regions known for shifting soil, often reads as a plus, not a problem. Skipping repairs, on the other hand, can cut your sale price and shrink the pool of interested buyers. Taking care of the issue protects both value and peace of mind.

Foundations are engineered for exceptional longevity when constructed correctly and maintained diligently. Concrete slab foundations remain structurally sound for 200 years, while other foundation types deliver integrity between 75 and 100 years. Regular professional inspections and timely maintenance further secure a foundation’s lifespan and ensure your home stays safe over the long term.
