Jeff advised that Hackney does not provide carpet repair services and offered a recommendation on other providers to consider. Even though we did not represent business for him, he took some additional time to give a free consultation on options for possible carpet repair. <br /> We got quotes for repairing the carpet from a few providers and finally decided to replace it instead.  Of course, we went back to Hackney Carpet. They came out to take measurements when they said they would and they prepared a detailed quote for replacing the carpet.  <br /> We were not able to use them for this job because their quote was just over our maxed out budget. "AWESOME! My husband called Hughes Dry and they explained their system very thoroughly - both on the phone and in person. We had four rooms cleaned and they look fabulous. Our basement carpeting was trashed as we recently had a party. It looks like new now! Everything smells great and it's not wet and soggy. "Rob was a pleasure to deal with.  Great communication from first contact.  On time and performed good quality work for the same price he quoted me on the phone.  I had half a room of carpet pulled up because we got water in our basement.  Rob reinstalled and stretched the old carpet, repaired some of the padding and repaired an area where the seam was ripped.  I also had him do a few extra things like tighten up the carpeting on my stairs while he was here.  Highly recommend and would use Rob again for sure! <br />"

"Enjoyed working with this company. Josh came out for the measure. He was very personable and was able to give me some great ideas for things that I was having a hard time figuring out. He has great design suggestions. He was very prompt with the quote and the prices were competitive with the other 3 quotes I received. I went to the showroom to actually choose the carpets, and Dave spent a lot of time with me & let me take home more samples. There was always someone in the office that was able to answer my questions or get answers for me. The install crew was organized and thorough. They knew what they were doing and were very patient with my desire to have the rug placed perfectly (it was a very big rug). Everyone had their role & the install went very quickly. I was pleased all around. I will be using them again as soon as my bedroom renovation is completed and I am ready for the other rug."

"They were delightful. They came out and did all the measurements. Their prices were fantastic. We had two different parts of the house carpeted. The first time was a piece-of-cake. It was super easy and it went really fast. The second time we had a little bit of a hiccup because it was during the Fourth of July holiday. So, we had planned to have it put in a certain day, but the carpet had not been delivered yet. That was a small pain, but overall they were great."

He showed us why the carpet had a sizable 'hump' in the middle of the floor, moved furniture as needed to stretch carpeting in two rooms, and then expertly stretched the humps out of the carpet. He really knows his craft, was careful to prevent damage, and did the cleanup afterwards. He was fast, and charged a fair price. Carpet looks great now, and he guaranteed his work.
