"In the end, everything worked out ok. However, I hate feeling like I have to keep a close watch on everything I asked for because Ed (owner) kept forgetting things I mentioned, increased the price numerous times, and told the painters and contractor incorrect information for what I wanted per the estimate. So needless to say, the work was fine. Delayed numerous times (later weather caused some), but it was written in the contract to do my work 1st due to needing it prior to closing for FHA and in the beginning, when they could have done some of the inside work, did not and left instead. I am happy worth the final work completed, but the owner I'm not pleased with. It helps to write things down if you can not remember so the client requests are not missed or misconstrued later (example not doing shoring up in areas of my carriage house that I asked for or trying to stull repair a window I asked to have replaced because repairing it would crumble it, plus the contractor (who I was very happy with) accidentally knocked it over and it would have had to have been replaced anyway. I ended up paying a lot more than quoted after I spoke to him and the contract writer explaining it all verbally because everything was getting missed."

Clean-up was well done too. Maria was one of the only painters in the area that was willing to work us into her very busy schedule. She knew we had a very strict timeline and the job had to be finished quickly (we had renters arriving).
