"In April Jason came out to look at our projects and get an idea of what we wanted to have done. The next day we received a drawing and an estimate via email. Last week (June 10 right on schedule) he and his crew removed dead shrubs, rock, timbers from the front yard and dead shrubs from the backyard. They put several new plants and soil in the front and replanted some shrubs we had. They put in a low boulder wall and mulched the area in the front yard. In the backyard they planted seven new shrubs .They left the work area tidy when the day ended. On the first day we asked Jason to replace some sod in the backyard and transplant a couple of plants and put in new ones (not in the original plan, but he was very willing to do the extra work). .An area of the paver patio in the backyard had sunk with time. His crew removed the sunken pavers, leveled the area, cleaned the pavers, and put them back in the original pattern. The patio looks like new. The crew was very pleasant and worked hard. All of this was done in two days! We have worked with three different landscapers over the years, and Jason was the best. He was very hands-on and his attention to detail was impressive. Jason was extremely easy to work with and very accommodating. We highly recommend him and would use him again in the future."

When I told Stan my vision, he found the blocks I had envisioned (other companies told me what they would use and it wasn't what I wanted), when I changed the design a little, asked all kinds of questions and wanted an extra layer of block put on, everyone went with the flow. I really appreciated the men keeping the area clean and I got a kick out of hearing "a clean work site is a happy work site". The wall not only looks great but having seen the accuracy, care and professionalism with which it was built, I'm sure it will last for decades. Not only would I highly recommend Stan and his crew, but so would several of my neighbors who appreiciated their workmanship, courtesy, and professionalism. I should mention that Stan's estimate was competitive and I appreciated knowing up front what any changes would cost.

"They did a beautiful job and their work turned out very nicely. Their landscaping is A-1. Their lawn service, I had a couple problems with. I'm not sure I will renew that work with them. I had eight solar lights around my deck and over the course of the summer, three were broken. Two of those were replaced by the company, however the replacement didn't work. They mowed whether it was wet or not and tore up my yard quite a bit. I didn't see any consequence to weed prevention. My neighbors creepy charlie is still moving in my yard. Overall though, they are very friendly, nice, and extremely polite."

The cleaning service was a little lighter than I wanted but the home was in need of major cleaning and On Call Services has been great about making sure I get the service I need. "I had high expectations of them given their standing on Angie's List. In some respects they met those high expectations. For example, Amy and team at Artistic fence were always responsive and polite in all interactions and communications. She went the extra mile coming twice to our home to finalize layout and options. The work was done at the price quoted, and there were no nasty surprises in that respect. However, our job had to be postponed multiple times due to staff issues they were having. Moreover, I found some of the work wasn't as top-notch in terms of professionalism. For example, after they cleared away excess debris, the yard was littered with bits ad pieces of fencing material that were hard to see, and usually we found them the hard way -- after stepping on them. There were also communication & coordination issues from time to time where the job crew would tell us things that were different from what Amy would. And after they reported the job done, I found a not-so-small section of fence that just hadn't been secured to the posts properly at all. To their credit, they took responsibility for that and showed up the next day to correct it. All told, I would recommend them as the end product has been good so far, and their pricing was quite competitive. I would just caution folks to build in some of these issues and annoyances into their expectations, until at least they sort through whatever staffing issues they said they were experiencing.
