We entered into a contract with Chesterfield Fence and Deck (CF&D) in 2018 to remove and replace 38 decks and to update two others. We are very pleased with CF&D's work quality, professionalism and communication. The decks are strong, look terrific and will virtually eliminate the maintenance our prior wood decks required. While we did experience a few issues over the course of the project, CF&D resolved them properly, professionally and in a timely manner. CF&D really continually strived to please us. "GCS did an excellent job executing a pretty complicated project. I would definitely recommend them to a friend. The bid that Dennis provided was very detailed and thorough. He came by several times to take measurements and ask questions about our intentions and goals for the project. He also had his electrical and HVAC subcontractors contact us to gather information about the project. It took about two weeks for the bid to be completed, which caused us to get a little impatient, but the final result was far more complete and thorough than any of the other bids we received. The cost was also very competitive. Work started soon after we signed the contract. Dennis did a very good job of coordinating the the tasks, including bringing the various subcontractors to the site in a timely manner, and within about 6 weeks we had the foundations poured and the basic framing done on the 8'x10' kitchen addition and the 16'x20' 1st floor bedroom/basement addition. Dennis' team were receptive to the changes to the plan (there will always be changes to the plan) that we asked for. The changes were documented, invoiced and priced reasonably. There was a lot of inside work to perform, so that took another 3 months or so. Insulation, drywalling, drywall finishing, carpet removal and installation, removal of the old kitchen cabinets and appliances, etc. Again, Dennis did a good job of scheduling the various specialists to come in and do their thing. Dennis was very responsive to any issues or concerns that came up through text messaging or by phone. Problems: Main issue was that the pace of work in the middle of the project was slower than we would have liked. This was mostly an issue with one individual worker. Overall: We are very happy with the results of the project and would recommend GCS highly. Attached picture is of the kitchen interior just prior to completion. It is exactly what we had envisioned."

"Our overall experience with Fulford Remodeling was very positive. Texts and emails with any questions or concerns were always answered in a very timely way. We recommend them most highly. Trent handled the design, planning and ordering of materials. He provided excellent referrals for items we had to arrange (closet systems, lighting fixtures, window treatments). We could never have managed this project without Trent’s guidance, suggestions and overall helpfulness throughout all the stages. We were very happy with the process and final design of the kitchen and master bathroom. Bobby maintained the schedule and made sure we had updated schedules throughout the project. Kent was our master carpenter. We were so pleased with the work he did on our kitchen and master bath (phase one) that we requested him for the remaining two phases. "We found Good Neighbors through Angie's List in January.   They had outstanding recommendations from previous customers on the website and we are a very happy and very satisfied customer. 
We had our 30 year old master bathroom gutted and we replaced everything.  Good Neighbors installed walls, ceiling, new tile floor, new cabinets, dual sinks, mirrors and replaced the old bathtub with an amazing, custom built, tiled shower.
Steve, our first Good Neighbors contact and co-owner was on time, polite, knew the business of remodeling and was accurate with his estimate. 
Tom, the other co-owner and in charge of construction contacted us and explained the construction process.  He addressed the problems we would encounter (dust, noise and storage of materials in our garage).   Tom made us very aware of what was going to happen over the next 5 weeks, step by step.   
The project manager, Jeff,  was the most polite man we have ever met.   His associate Caleb was every bit as friendly.   Every day they provided an explanation of what was going to occur that day and again they made every effort to contain the inevitable dust and the noise. 
The daily preparation and clean up was impressive.   Every morning they laid canvas on the stairs, the hallway and the bedroom floor to keep the carpets clean.  Every evening, the bathroom and adjoining bedroom were vacuumed, the mess cleaned up and the tools were stacked.    Then they folded a put away the canvas and moved outside to clean up the construction debris from saws, tile cutters, etc.     I have to tell everybody - We were impressed with the cleanup. 
The job grew from the original estimate as we had them add crown molding and repaint the master bedroom.
Regarding a recommendation,  I would not hesitate to have them do our next project and they probably will.
